Legoland, CA - Dino Valley, open at last!
In this video we went back to Legoland for the first time in a while. We decided to check out the water park for our first visit of the season. The cabana at the water part was a splurge, but it was well worth it. Dino Valley was also finally open and we got to check out the new land and 2 of the 3 rides - the roller coaster’s wait time never got low enough to meet our ride threshold. And despite intentions, we still ended up staying until closing time.

This year I planned a day trip to downtown Los Angeles for Mother's Day. The San Bernardino County Musuem is a local musuem that deserves attention. It's a family favorite and has always been a place for us to hang out and spend an hour or two expending energy with the kids. While I probably wouldn't recommend anyone drive to the area JUST to visit it, if you happen to be in the area, swing on by!
2024 LA County Fair Family Day

The Los Angeles County Fair is an annual tradition where city folk get to pretend we know what to do on a farm while we indulge in fried foods we would ordinarily never even think of. Along the way there is shopping, games, and rides to entertain all ages. This was our LA County Fair day for 2024.

2024 Day at Hollywood Studios - W Family 2024 - Part 6

Day 6 of the parks had us at Hollywood Studios. We were able to get to the park around 9:10 so it wasn’t too late of an arrival considering they opened for general entry at 9 AM. Our goals for the day included two rides: Mickey’s Runaway Railroad and Slinky Dog Dash. We only managed to accomplish one of these two ride goals. Nevertheless, we all had fun and enjoyed another day in the parks.

Day 3 of the parks took us into Animal Kingdom. It was a good mix of wild animals in as nice a setting as can be in captivity as well as shows and rides. Faith conquered her fear of Expedition Everest and actually rode it twice. Jed was obsessed with DinoLand USA.

how much was your villa per night?
We stayed on DVC points rather than pay by cash. A coupe websites allow you to rent points if you’re not a DVC member.

I wanted to take a bike ride from Riverside to the ocean but take the train home to Riverside. Or start my ride in Corona and come back home using the train to Riverside. Is Oceanside the only beach stop?
San Clemente Pier is the stop before Oceanside. But they aren't too far from each other.
want to make this trip with my kids. quick question, how far of a walk was it to the beach from the train
It’s about a 10 minute walk. We didn’t have a lot to carry so it was easy to do. If you’re doing a beach trip, one of those folding wagons may be helpful if you have chairs and toys. Have fun!
We use the Metrolink to go to Knott's Berry Farm. We get breakfast to go and eat at a table on the train on the way to Buena Park. Our daughters expect breakfast on the train now.

No. The only thing they asked was for masks whenever we were indoors. But they didn’t ask for a proof of vaccination.

Hmmm... I just purchased 2 adult tickets online for public on the 29th and I’m wondering if we’ll get the full experience or have to miss out on some areas due to not being members. If you can provide any info on that I would much appreciate it. This is a surprise for my sister.

I don’t know how it is now. But when we went, once you were on the grounds, everyone could wander to any open spaces regardless of what type of ticket you had (all indoor areas were closed at the time we went due to COVID).
how long did it take you to walk around the entire garden?
It probably took us around 2 hours. But mostly because with the kid, she doesn't want to meander and enjoy the scenery. It's an awesome place to spend a day with a book if you like being outside.
Seems like a fun place to visit. Unfortunately I’ll wait until everything is open again. Not worth paying full price to only see half the exhibit.

Yup! But I was too busy trying to make sure the kid was with me and following me that. I didn’t realize it until we got there and got off the train 😂

You must have been on a southbound Inland Empire train. Was it 857 or 859?
We took 859 going to Oceanside and then 858 coming back.
@@wfamilyadventures I see, this must have been filmed on Saturday, September 19th, meaning you had the same train set in both directions. This train set was 857 and 860 on Sunday, September 20th. Strangely enough, 859 and 858 were not the same set on September 20th, and 858 wound up being a backwards set for the Inland Empire line.

Awesome! Thanks for meeting us know. Just found her in IG. She was one of the best in terms of being friendly and interacting with the kid. Another time she saw a different Marilyn and it was not as warm an experience.

Just try to remember that if it’s possible, before the little girl could possibly meet any of the Princesses at either any of the Disney Parks or a Princess Party, try to look for the following 3 Dresses if you don’t have them already. 1: Elsa Dress 2: Rapunzel Dress 3: Princess Aurora Dress
