A four-day backpacking and camping endeavor with some good friends (who were strangers at the beginning of the trip). I think everyone ought to do something like this once in their life, it was such a cool experience. This video is dedicated to Spencer, Matt, Thomas, David, and Ian :)

Hey all! Here is a video I have been wanting to make for a long time about coffee. I nerd out about coffee, and this video is exactly that. Hopefully it's helpful or fun in some capacity. Keep an eye out for the new pocket notebook video! I'll be scripting it this week and will hopefully have it out soon. I'm also going backpacking this Saturday at Big Bend! I'm definitely going to be making a ...
How To Meaningfully Spend 7 Days in Japan
Переглядів 685Місяць тому
Hey all! This is a video my dad made (that I helped film) for our trip to Japan. Please do not be thrown off by the AI voice over! My channel will not be taken over by AI. It was just what my dad made for our family to listen to while we were going around Japan. That being said, this video is kind of an itinerary for how to spend 7 meaningful days in Japan. Not just seeing things on the surface...

How We Can Solve The Trolley Problem. | A Philosophical Dialogue
Переглядів 3762 місяці тому
A conversation with myself in which I try to determine the nature of virtue, where we get it from, why we ought to try to be virtuous, and the implications of the definition reached. I hated putting philosophical in the title, but you know clicks are good and stuff.
1700 miles Long Distance to Princeton (for love)

I took a trip to Princeton this weekend from Austin to visit my long-distance girlfriend. Yeah, she’s smarter than me. We baked really good cookies and she showed me around the top college in America (allegedly). Just kidding-go horns!

A rare sight indeed.
I don’t know what impresses me more, your guitar playing and voice or the fact you played that outside in the cold
Ha thank you!
@@joshuachung67 you’re quite the incredible young man
Excellent video Joshua! You did a great job of breaking down key things that you need to be using your notebook/journal for. My biggest problems with notebooks is that I have a bunch of them. That's a discipline thing and I try to narrow my notebooks for a particular use, e.g. work, travel, etc. Keep up the great work!
Haha! I just left a comment on your previous video - suggesting you try a Kaweco Sport - and you already had. I am trying out the Moleskine cahier - but you do get a little bleed though from one side of he page to the other. I have it in a cheap leather cover - but have not worked out how to carry my Kaweco with it....and am using the Zebra min - which writes Ok but is a little too small to write with for long.... Hope you don't mind me syaing - ther seemed to be more optimism in your earlier video..... I hope you weren't affected by negative comments or the curse of the one runaway video! I have had a lot of those negative comments for my Sharpening videos and I have learnt to not take any comments personally - neither the good nor the bad..... And with practice and persistance I have had a couple more videos do really well......Take care...MB...
Great video! Thanks for sharing.... The parker Jotter is my favourite pen for work notes - I have just started using the Kaweco Sport for my journal.....so nice to write with... Not sure how well it would work for a lefty though....
Cool
Hmm I wish I had one of these
W video
“My memory often fails me, ink on paper never does” I love this and have written it on the cover of my current Field Notes, underneath “I’m not writing it down to remember it later, I’m writing it down to remember it now”. That’s from FN’s web site.
That is a good line, I am putting it down too!
I subscribed just on the basis of this video. I had a good laugh and learned to love my field book again.
I really enjoyed your videos!
Saw that G.K. Chesterton book in there, solid read! Great video man, I use field notes everyday and have for a long time, they rule.
Look at my written notes instead of my phone 2:16, 4:52
Luv writing ✍️ and notebooks 📓 appreciate u!!!!!
Thank you!!
Ironically, its also been 1 year since I started using pocket note-books, as of Dec 18th, 2024. Same day you uploaded. And yes I subscribed. I hate using my phone too
Oh I didn’t even realize! Thanks so much for your support!
Been looking for notebooks with pen attachment for a long time, while the answer is there all along: just add one yourself. Ur video just remind me that most things can just be made, not buy ❤
How many notebooks have you gone through in a year? Is your pocket notebook your "only" notebook, or are you one of those small notebook for carry, medium for desk type of people. I may be overthinking this, but I've been thinking a lot lately about Common Place books. If I capture it in the small notebook, the one I'm most likely to have on me all the time, do I then transfer it to the larger one. I'm ready to throw it all away and just do one notebook to rule them all and make it a small sized pocket one. I fear I'll burn through them quick but it may make me a bit more judicious with the material I write in it.
I’ve gone through three pocket notebooks (one of them being a moleskine) and I carry two other misc. notebooks. I’m still working on a good system to standardize and centralize my information. I definitely resonate with you. If I make any breakthroughs, I’ll make a video!
I just started my pocket notebook journey.
So good to hear! Welcome to the club
Also, just going through your previous videos, I like how much more concise you've become with the videos! It's nice to have less algo-friendly content that is still well produced
Thank you! I’m actually glad someone noticed because that’s something I really focused on with this one.
Brilliance What process do you use to find your favorite pens/notebooks?
Appreciate it! Trial and error friend. And scour UA-cam for reviews. Or just listen to Joshua Chung he’s pretty cool.
Love this video and your first. Keep it up! :)
Wonderful to hear. I’m happy you’re enjoying them!
Omg how do you write so small?
Business school teaches me to write inside the lines 😂
Loved the style of the video ❤️❤️
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
your first vid is what got me into using pocket notebooks. i use them for everything from sermon notes to music ideas. thanks Josh!
That’s so awesome to hear!
I liked your first video, and I like this one too. Keep going!
Wonderful to hear. Thank you!

I really appreciate this, thank you!
What model grinder are you using?
This is the 1ZPresso J-Max. I think it's actually sold out most places right now.

@@sangjo78 ur absolutely allowed to do that, it’s just the way he invalidated all other religions was unnecessary. I was enjoying the vid till that part, cause although he acknowledged the beauty of the temple and the culture/religion, he’s disrespecting other religions by calling them futile. I did like your AI voiceover idea though.
@@zimzimmaI respect your opinion. We can agree to disagree. Have a great day 🙏

I've been looking forward to this video for some time from you! Such a satisfying video. Very informative. Thank you! I am enjoying using a Moka at the moment, but I do sometimes use french press also.
Yes I remember you commenting about this! Thank you for the constant support. I could never get good at the Moka pot, but I do love the french press.

This is actually true-I’ve matured a bit since making this video. My newest one tries to be much less stimulating. Thanks for this.
I relate totally, drawing is also one of those things that I never get tired of. I can tell how meaningful this was to you. Keep it up :)
That’s so awesome. Thank you for this comment!
I don't have social media anymore but I'm still struggling to get over You Tube Shorts, sometimes I spend my time scrolling on YT while I should be drawing, what's something that I Like doing more than watching videos. I resonate with this deeply
