I saw this show in NYC at the Savvoy Theater. They were playing huge arena shows but suddenly decided to play a tiny venue. They made a video for HBO that night.

Arguably some of the very best recordings by Mr MR. If you like the late `70`s/early 80`s Genesis sound then this is the album for you. Mike recruited a superb band to play on the record and the creative; sublime and memorable drum work from the GOAT Simon Phillips is a genuine treat.

There are “resultant tones” being generated here too, like ghost notes. Banks played 12string when they were live too. They were possibly the most talented of all Prog Rock groups, certainly on a par with The Moody Blues core 7 era of Hayward and Pinder

A great first U.S. Top 40 single by Genesis!!! Heard this on Casey Kasem's "American Top 40 - The '70s" (from June 17th, 1978) the other day. This was the #29 song in the Top 40 that week. Bravo, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford & Phil Collins!!! 🙂

I worked for Showco in Dallas at that time and Genesis invited all the Showco/Vari*Lite employees to The Studios, Las Colinas Stage 1 to watch the dress rehearsal for this tour. We sat on their road cases right infront of the stage. It may have even been this very performance.
