loved the ending montage <333 even as non-american, ive hear often that california is a lonely and expensive place to be on your ones, you either go with company or already know people there else it'll put you into acute depression. I think its the beach city /sunny vibes. meanwhile corporate cities like London are very much hyper individualist so no one cares or judges to see you alone, love that restaurants and cafes also have seating specifically and intentionally designed for solo customers, perfect big city for introverts.
