I found my aunt's 1970's vintage roller skates & went into a deep, deep rabbit hole. It’s my joy, my happiness, my passion!! Let’s see how far we can take this thing 🛼🤔🌟

Wondering what roller skates you should buy for dance skating? I tell you about the ins-and-outs of my Edea Classica skates. Are Edea skates good for dance skating? How does Edea sizing work? Are Edea skates comfortable? Are Edea skates durable? Ultimately, do I recommend Edeas?? If you are considering buying Edeas (or you are simply curious) this video is for you!! The things I wish I knew up-...

3 years later how are they
They lasted me about 9 months! However I skated so much (1-3 hours per day, every day), the suede was pretty flimsy and unsupportive by the end. I upgraded to the Edea Classica boot with a Roll Line Dance Plate! Can see a video about that video on my channel :') The stiffer boot makes a big difference! Golden Horse is a more budget friendly, stiff boot as an alternative to these! However, for casual skating, these were great while I had them! Solid mid-tier skate for getting going!
@@Darbyshmarby good thing I didn't get them ended up with vnla Luna
I am so obsessed with skating 🛼 too!!😊 love dance skating and getting my groove on!🫶🛼🎵😅
There's nothing like it!!!
Gliding on clouds “I have no flow!”
Have you tried double lacing your boots? I have old Riedell 195's I lace them half way up tie them then use another set of laces from the tied lower lace to the top. It keeps the toe box lose and the upper part of the boot tight. I use workboot laces, they last a long time.
I happen to like Edeas better than any other boot. It's the only boot that does not cause me pain. I believe it is all about the shape of your foot. I have flat long narrow feet. They are truly a dream come true. I have 2 pairs of Classica's and just got the Showgirl. My feet love them. Years of nerve pain from Riedells...GONE!!!
😍
Wya
Eew are those Chicago's
I like your thumbnail
This is the best noodle legs i have ever seen... honestly tho
can't believe we went through that face mask virus trama
so creepy everyone is wearing face mask
Yes. We came for the tea.
I don’t think you could be any more adorable! Thank you for your information. 😊❤ Oh, and I did just buy Edea Rondos. Lol
I just got boardwalk's today they are my first pair and so far they kinda hurt but I've been in them for multiple hours. I love them though
I was close to buying some Edea Overtures and now I'm thinking Reidell. Thank you.
What kind of stoppers are you using?
Me loooove
This was a good review. I’m curious to know, now that this video is nearly a year old, are you still skating them? If so, how is the foot pain going? I ice figure skate and had a pair of Jackson’s that were a similar experience for me. I skated them longer than I should and ended up with a larger bulge on the base of my metatarsal. I’ve since changed to Risport.
okay go off 👋💵💵💵
Oh wow. My daughter loves her new Edea Chorus (C width) ice skates after a year or two in Riedell, but I’m kind of shocked at the discomfort you pushed through for yours. I bought someone’s custom Harlicks when I first began skating, and they were AAAA. I eventually stretched them to B width. I swear I struggled less with discomfort than you seem to have despite that. O.o Mine were also the stiffest Harlick makes too, so that’s saying something. (It wasn’t easy, but I got through it.) I hope you have new skates now that feel great!
Why the mask outside???
Sex appeal
Do you listen to music when you're trail skating? I love music and skating but worry about not hearing everything around me, wondering if there are special headphones for this..
White person reference? What does race have to do with a fact that Nancy Kerrigan was an international champion on the ice???
Thank you for record this ❤
Omg, this is stranger things
I just remembered my nostalgia when my sister is 7 and has a birthday
Good video..I have had 2 foot surgeries and skated over 40 years, and none of my foot issues came from skating..I had a Reidell Silver Star and Synder plate and it lasted until it just fell apart...great boot although i did bleed breaking it in, so I started skating barefoot until they were comfy. I have a small heel so I ordered sizing for my foot. SO I got fitted for my Edeas I have now, and I have the Fly, which is the second hardest boot they make. The Jazz is 90 and the Fly is 70...Now if anyone finds themselves going through issues with their boots, either they have a rare issue or they did NOT get fitted properly..period..That's like spending $500 on a desktop and then another $1500 to upgrade it to a gaming workstation. You should NEVER skate in pain, because pain is your natural indicator that something is wrong. You can end up crippled, you can end up having surgeries, and then if you cannot skate anymore, you defeated the whole purpose of learning. Doing all that extra work on skates that never fitted properly from day one is working backwards. Now I ran track, and still can and I am over 50+,I worked as a skating instructor, and I currently skate all over the place, like LA, FL, GA, CT, NJ, MD, TX,etc, and am based in NYC. Here is the deal about the Fly boot and Rolline setup... It's not what Reidell used to be and neither is Reidell. Edea Flys are LIGHT, and STIFF, and made for triples, jumps, hard torque movements, hard edges, and a variety of movements that require quick, hard transitions. The front of the boots rub off when you do deep toe movements, so if you do not use cover of some kind, it will just rub through. The boot brings you to the ball of your foot and my heel stays in the pocket.,and that's important that your heels do not rise and fall inside. I use para cord for lacing and had them cut long enough to wrap around 4 times. People started using them because when you're skating hard in rinks, your feet begin to swell a bit, and if there's no give, the lace starts to constrict the foot. That's never good and can cause permanent damage, and that not my opinion, that's exactly what my REAL podiatrist has told me. I see her once a month and she gave me the formula to take care of my feet between visits. If there's been something she suggested to place inside my boot, she fabricated it for me. Once I got the boot comfortable, now I skate barefoot and change the insoles when needed. Dr. Schol is fine, no gel insoles, just regular closed cel cushioning. I open the laces up and disinfected them, wipe them out,and sometimes just use a damp rag and clean them more. I might get Jackson or Reidel with equal stiffness for another skate setup. Anyway, get fitted, get fitted, and then get fitted,so you can learn and progress, while having fun...
I just found your channel. What kind of skates are you wearing? Btw new subscriber.
Edea Classica boot with a Roll Line Dance Plate! <3
Do you have any tutorial videos?
So cool ! Please keep uploading :)

Thanks for your review, especially the part about molding. I really wanted to try Edea's out and got an imported pair of Flamenco's from Spain. My feet are wide as well, and unfortunately I got a size without any allowance on length. After trying to mold it myself using a heat gun and 3d-printed models of my feet, I just couldn't deal with the pain. I was going to possibly take another chance on Classica's in the future, but after hearing your experience, I'll stick with Riedell for now.
Edea themselves tell us over and over, and over again, to have a professional fitting..User error and being stubborn is only what it is..
Your strength and mobility are amazing 🖤
I rolled w the hunniess too haha
Nice bakery shop!
Not trying to be rude but I think it’s bc where you got it maybe bc I got mine on Amazon and I LOVE them they’re AMAZING
can I ask a question. Are these good for women who are overweight some? Or VNLA skates??
You might need to try aluminum plates!
How are they handling the warranty work? Or was it still under any warranty , if they have any.
Glad you dumped that guy with the lakers mask he was weird
Is that the place from stranger things
I know this is an old video but wearing masks outside is/was utterly unnecessary. Also you're adorable 😊
Your comment is unnecessary
@@StellarainnNah, It's informative.
"If artistic skating is what you're pursuing, its not the kind of skating I would recommend learning on your own" Me, having never skated before in my life, being completely sedentary, and training figure roller skating by myself for two years now: "watch me" 😂 But tomorrow I'll finally see a coach so I can improve more 🥰
Why the face mask ? I dont understand 😕
I shed a lot too and you are so right! The hair gets all up in there😂
