Welcome! I am an avid bass fisherman in Western PA. I used TurboYeti as my channel's name as my 3 sons affectionately call me Turbo from a father vs son softball game where I was anything but fast! The Yeti comes from my friends who reference my longer than average beard. Put ‘em together and Turbo Yeti was born. This channel is for my family and friends and anyone else who loves to fish Western PA.
Frog fishing for bass! (7/18/24)
Worked hard with the spinnerbait and frog today. Got my 1st three fish ever on the frog. Threw it for hours. Had 20 blowups on the frog. Gotta get better!!! So much fun!

Started day calm and got a couple then the wind came! Went from ripples to white caps in 15 minutes! crazy but got em shallow again on the spinnerbait.

Got them on shallow weed flats again. Very windy and drizzle. All clouds. Even got Mr. Musky!! Water temps at 78.

Found em shallow today in 83 degree water. Air temp 92. Was surprised to be this shallow this time of year. But I loved it!

Got out on 4th and got some nice schooling bass on topwater and a couple good ones shallow in the weeds! Great day on America's birthday!

Back on water after 11 days of family and personal commitments. Found em deep and some shallow in the weeds. Water levels dropping fast.

Another hot day. No wind and no clouds. Water temp up to 83. Got 4 species today! was a great 5 hours in the tropical weather!

Another 93 degree day. All sun and no wind. Always makes it tough on my lake. Did my best for a couple bass and 2 walleye! Some days you fish...some days you catch. Today I fished!

Another 87 degree day. Not a cloud in the sky and no wind. Tough on a clear lake. I found some offshore and got 2 on the swim jig!! I call that a successful day! New lure and new technique for me!

Started shallow..No good. Got offshore. better but small. Water temp had dropped 7 degrees in 4 days. Finally got a good one and went home! Try again Thursday!

Tough day on water. But fun!!! 77 degree water temp. 88 and not a cloud in sky. Got em deep on Strike King 5XD

A tough May day. Water up to 75 degrees. Got 3 dinks and a 2 pounder. Had three 40 to 50 inch class muskies hit and break me off! So cool but so expensive!

Water temp 67. I found it tough but still got on some fish. Getting better at this temp of fishing!

Got em good after the damn dinks tried to ruin my day! Magdraft and spinnerbait and squarebill gor some nice 2 pound chunks to save the day!!

Great Videos, really enjoyed your content... Yes turning the hooks up a little bit above the body definitely helps with hookups and you may want to try shortening the legs a little bit to avoid them just going after the " legs" of the frog. Don't forget to try the booyah Poppin pad crasher as well.

Happy to see the grippers working well! FYI you need to apply a bit more force to open up the grippers fully. Maybe a redesign is necessary to get around those muskie teeth! Super cool fish.
As an old swabby, I would recommend you clear up your deck a bit. Don't know how you can walk around on it without tripping on something. Nice Muskie!
Deck is perfectly organized and tidy. Mr Musky just makes things hectic!
When its that hot, whats your game plan?
I look for morning topwater over weed beds then hit deep points and deep weed edges. In about 2 weeks they school up and pound the rainbow smelt bait balls. Topwater joy!!

Dinks are better than no dinks!! You're probably doing a lot better than me, I've only caught 50 fish so far this year! I've been skunked time after time!!
You are correct! I'll take any fish any day! Journal says 88 caught so far. I have avoided the dreaded skunk so far. Fingers crossed for rest of season!

Crazy how muddy that water is. Pretty cool how you can see that hard line of it also. I still can’t get over the spots all over that bass. So interesting like those spots on the maple leaves we were talking about.
