2024 Total Solar Eclipse - Experience the Line of Totality in 4K
Experience the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8th 2024 in stunning 4K on a peaceful lake in Bromont Québec.
Bromont was located directly on the line of totality with some of the best viewing conditions for the day. I learned after the eclipse that both Venus and Jupiter were visible in the vicinity of the Eclipse! Venus is clearly visible in my footage just below and to the right of the eclipse and looks like a bright star.
Captured with a Panasonic HC-VX870 in 4K and a GoPro Hero 11 in 5.3K

Mont Tremblants Steepest Tree Runs! Taïga & Buzz 4K 60FPS

In this video I snowboard Mont Tremblants Steepest tree Runs! While its hard to rank tree runs since a lot of them are off trail Taïga and Buzz would definitely be the steepest trail rated runs! Double black Diamond rating, narrow channels to carve through and very steep cliff drop sections makes for quite the adrenaline rush! An incident occurred on September 14th 2023 at Rockcliffe Airport in Ottawa Ontario in which a man stole an aircraft and crashed into 2 other parked planes just after take off. I was almost directly involved in this incident as I was booked in for a SOLO flight at the same time this happened. Thankfully however my flight was cancelled due to slightly too high crosswinds. I was at the airport re...

Tornadic Storm with an Anamorphic Lens

Sample anamorphic video from a storm chasing adventure in Québec Canada. With how much tornado footage is already out there, my new goal is to capture a tornado with more unique and cinematic qualities. Will likely shoot with my 35mm or 24mm anamorphic lenses for my next chase as this footage came out a little too shakey. Make sure to subscribe to follow my adventures! Gear: Sony A7 III SLOG 2,...

Barrhaven and Fournier ON Tornadic Storms! 07.13.2023 FULL CHASE
Переглядів 357Рік тому
On July 13th 2023 a severe weather event would transpire early in the afternoon as thunderstorms rapidly formed west of Ottawa. At around 1pm a Tornado would touch down in Barrhaven causing significant damage.. I tracked this storm system as it moved over downtown Ottawa, to Orleans and eventually to areas south of Alfred ON where a strong rain-wrapped tornado would occur. EDIT: (In Fournier, t...

OTTAWA IN CINEMASCOPE 4K - Anamorphic Videography
Hey ,saw your review on riverside 120 ,Still using ?How is it
I appreciate your enthusiasm but you need to take better precautions for your safety, invest in some proper head gear to protect yourselves.
This does NOT work at all.. Like everyone in the comments here the cube just goes off into the distance, and since there is litterally no answer after 4 years this sucks
Did it yesterday !! was not easy, some many rocks but the view at the top was well worth it, the descent was treacherous..
thank uuu so muchh❤
if you are stuck in the box not dropping. Just apply all transformation then undo the transformation. Hope it helps
Hey, what heigh are you?
how do i fix the cube not faling from the Conveyor Belt it jus keeps going forward and flying :(
Nice tutorial ❤
I’ve followed this tutorial now at least five times and I cannot get my cube to fall off the belt. It just keeps going and following the origin point of the belt off into the distance. It’s infuriating.
Amazing video I love the High Peaks
Just beautiful!! Thank you!
Glad you liked the video!
Mirror lens don't have chromatic abberation/color fringing/image softness while refractor (normal lenses do). It's pure physics. People who say this lens is soft are referring to out of focus pictures, or when this cheap lens has a defect where the mirrors/lens don't align. Maybe pair it with a high ISO camera, high MP camera, or just shoot in bright light. Manual focus is slightly problematic, but you can get away with using the MF digital zoom button on Sony camera. The best shots are the ones you take the silhouette pictures, or pictures with the sky/sea as the background. Tips: you can make it even smaller if you use the thin donut adapter. They might block your lens release button, but we're not shooting weddings here so I don't need to switch out lenses fast. Put just a little mineral oil on the threads so it screw on and off easily. I don't think it'll rust but just in case. Overall, cheap, sharp, light for the price. Except the donut bokeh, but birds mostly stay high above ground, so no bokeh, ha ha ha.
The moon could be behind the sun actually. It looks like that at the end of the video. Cool stuff
Huh???
@@goop3213 Eric Dollard once said. "There's no fusion in the sun. It's a converter" Maybe this is the reason why we never see the moon surface before the ecliple , except black disk. If the sun is a converter transmitting enery, then the moon should block the energy from behind.
WUHHHHHHHH?????
The moon does no more than reflect light.. if the sun was infront of the moon it wouldn't get dark like you see in the video lol.
@@majestic-skiesSeems like you believe in the globe model. Sorry for disturbing.
Great stuff, son.
WOW! Makes me regret seeing it in Ottawa (people were right, the diff between 99% and 100% totality was night and day), but it was still cool enough lol😅. How was your ski season? I remember seeing you in a rise and alpine comment section talking about a potential skiing road trip out west, did that ever happen?
Thanks for watching! Yeah the difference is pretty significant when you're not quite on the line of totality. My snowboarding season was pretty good! Didn't get out west but got down to Vermont the week before the eclipse. Looks like you had a fantastic season and got out lots, well done!
do you recommend this hike with a toddler on back?
Unless you're insanely fit, it's unlikely that you will hike such a high distance and vertical drop with such a weight on your back...
If you're fit you'd be fine. Just leave early and bring plenty of drinking water. I did this hike in 2020 and it was brilliant. Don't worry about the exposure on the summit. It's not that bad at all. Unless you court danger you won't find it. The trail at the summit is easy and clearly marked. If you go. Enjoy!
Thank you man!
Wow, I was stuck way too long on one tiny little section of this and finally figured out what I missed. Per your tutorial which you said....make sure to check the Deforming box in Physics! That little piece I missed got me stuck for way too long! Thanks for this great tutorial...it still works in Blender 4.1
Hi there, which road is that in Cantley? How did you find that spot?
looking to buy this game. is this the standard package? or do i need to buy the deluxe/ premium deluxe editions? really wanna fly over the ottawa, toronto montreal area.
the gz didn't work
Nice man, way to get through it. On my mountain that's not an open run
Thanks! Its essentially just a cliff so it was rewarding just to make it down 😅 It was barely open at all this day. Super overgrown. The fresh powder made it a lot safer than it usually is though so I wasn't complaining.
Great run.
When was this filmed? I’ll be heading up there next weekend, hope to explore all the steeper glades I’ve never been able to hit in the past!
This was last Sunday after the big snowstorm on Saturday! Conditions were pretty perfect, but it looks like it'll be good next weekend as well. Will likely be up there again next weekend myself!
@@majestic-skies nice! I’ll know what snowsuit to look for this time😂
Dy-no-mite!
Great minimalism!
Зачем делать название на русском а видео на английском?!
I just printed a couple photos on premium quality photo paper at the highest resolution possible from my phone and I am not impressed. The quality seems really grainy to me not a good quality print.
This is very inconsistent, sometimes it works, sometimes don't even though it has the same exact setting. The main problem is the object didnt fall but move along the x axis
Thanks for the sample footage, I got a great idea of what they look like now 🤙
Hell yeah! I'm leaving today for Tremblant from Costa Rica and your vid hyped me up so much!
Love this video. I've learned what we call it "cuña" in spanish you guys say "pizza", LOVE IT!
Lol. Thanks youtube for randomly recommending this.
when u pizza push the edges out, actively try and get on your inner edges, staying flat won’t help slow you down at all
yeah, if you only knew that pizza means edges in so you can actually brake.
Also mixing turns with pizza will help you further control speed; you should bend your knees more and shift your weight further forward, worst thing you can possibly do while trying to slow down or control your speed is let your weight shift back
Yeahh this was seriously my first time ever putting on skis a couple years ago. 😂 Really had no idea what I was doing. Glad it's making some people laugh! I've since learned how to turn properly and semi carve. Subscribe to my channel! I'll do a follow up video of me going top to bottom at Mont Tremblant since people seem curious about my progress.
@halorocker2 it’s a much more advanced and difficult technique to hockey stop like that, using both of your edges in pizza is easy, reliable, and tactile (while being significantly more tiring)
PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA
If you french fry when you're supposed to pizza you're gonna have a bad timeee 🤣
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
I might have been the guy in blue jacket/black pants in the right of frame in 0:53 to 1:02 😂. I had stickers on my helmet, and a GoPro on my head for some runs lol. Conditions on the south side were amazing, but the green run on the north side was a minefield of ice and fallen beginners😅
Haha that's funny you were able to spot yourself 😅 Yeah the south peak was definitely better condition wise. Pretty icy in a couple sections on the north side.
@@majestic-skies2:08-2:15 left of the frame also looks like a possibility lol, but who knows🤷♂️😂. Which Ottawa hill are you skiing at this szn?
Nice move under the sign!
Haha thanks! Kind of like making people think I'm going to crash when I do it not going to lie 😂
Board dude!
Thanks for review. I still use the Hero4 so anything new will be a massive upgrade. Battery life in the cold is a downside although I ride in Europe which usually isn’t as cold as across the pond
My pleasure, thanks for watching! The hero 12 is a slight upgrade but probably the smallest difference between models GoPro has ever had. I'd only recommend getting it over the 11 if you think you might get the new MAX lens mod.
Wow, this was great, I have spent soo long trying to find a tutorial like this but they were all bad, I found this and it was perfect! thank You!
Where are you in Canada?
Finally, someone does justice to these lenses by mentioning the other factors ·outside· the lens that affect its IQ. I own the 500mm refractor and reflector versions of these lenses, that have been around since the 70s, my first copy was a Spiratone 400mm on a Pentax KX back in the 70s. No blasé, no leke-leke chaff, just facts.
They're fun lenses! I ended up selling mine but still miss it sometimes. (Upgraded to a Tamron 150-600) Like I said in the video your best bet with these is to mount them on full frame cameras.
Hello…. What e mount adapter do you use? Thanks
Wow I felt for ya
I felt your pain on a few of those...damn.
I'm going there in October. Great trail! What entrance do we go to?
I believe there's only one entrance for this trail. While Tadoussac is only 3 hours north of Quebec city it is a very remote part of Quebec. I have a soft spot for it now. They have some of the most beautiful wilderness regions out of anywhere I've been in canada. Some days I think about moving there from Ottawa because of how unique and beautiful it is.
@@majestic-skies We're coming from Ottawa too and will be spending a few days to explore and just immerse in nature.
Not my greatest landing not going to lie 😂 Solo flight #2 what do you expect?
thank you it works
