Thank you for this! I am a really bad nail biter. My fingers aren't quite that bad, but they are pretty close. I bite them so much that my fingers stay sore. I've wanted to get my nails done, but I'm so afraid I'll get turned away or laughed at or something because they're in such bad shape. So good to know that there are great people out there like you who will take care of us nail biters! I also think it's great that you didn't charge her more because of the time taken. Very fair.

Is it safe to cure that gel over the skin like that ? Wouldn’t that put the client at risk for developing an allergic reaction ?

I don’t think that gel is supposed to be applied directly to the nail bed. Avoid contact with the skin to avoid allergic reaction
