Pine for MeMeMeeeeeee My GniK, for I plan to All'ahways be Yours ~eVen forever, Morr
He has saved me so many times 😢
A reference to Morrissey's love of 60s kitchen-sink dramas. ATV was a popular television channel in the UK. The title comes from a 1934 German film which was based on a 1932 book of the same name, by Hans Fallada. The novel called Kleiner Mann - was nun? was about the life of a young married couple during the post-1929 economic crisis in Berlin. The song itself is reputedly about Jack Wild, British actor and singer, starring on ATV's show "Look Familiar".
How life shifts. Morrissey, seemingly, never understood Marr’s genius in the 80s. There’s a reason few bands cover Smiths’ tracks; they’re too difficult to play. Both were together when their talents unfurled.
Lol he was in love with him
I love you modern life
Just shaking hands? Yah eVen, You know My Cheif Master Swine, that I need MORR than a hand shake because I AM a hugger & I claim YOU!!!
I did not choose him, he choose Me aNd, I AM very glad he stuck like glue because he turned out to be worth a chance or two or three eVen🙂🙃😉!!!
❤aNd, I say, " soOoOoOo how did 😂I end up so deeply 🎉involved with the very existence I'd planned on 😢avoiding?" aNd Yah, you can't answer... 😮aNd, I figure it is JUST BECAUSE I AM Jacqui. Which means that I AM 😉sOoOoOoO VERY 😮 VERY Her, My Venalaroar'n Mozzter Pops😊😊😊...
It's like he wrote Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin, Sheep by Pink Floyd, any generic Idlewild song from their early career and any Oasis song all in one.
What an unbelievable string of solo records Morrissey has produced. Just pure class.
What year
The replay value is ridiculous on this one
Mi Corazón……
❤❤❤❤❤
Perfection.
Feliz cumpleaños!!
Sounds Like Nirvana
Mozipedia’s info on this song: ‘Angel, Angel, Down We Go Together’ (Morrissey/Street), From the album VIVA HATE (1988). Included on the very first cassette of demos Stephen Street sent Morrissey in August 1987 - proposed B-side ideas for the final Smiths singles after Marr’s departure - was a sad orchestral tune modelled on the chorus of Kate Bush’s 1985 single ‘Cloudbusting’. The track so impressed Morrissey that he swiftly abandoned his plans of persevering with the Marr-less Smiths, electing instead to work with Street on a solo career. In his first letter to the producer to break the news, he named ‘the orchestral one’ as his particular favourite. The music was subsequently scored for string quartet by John Metcalfe to become Viva Hate’s brief baroque interlude, ‘Angel, Angel, Down We Go Together’. While the title was borrowed from 1969’s Angel, Angel, Down We Go, a daft exploitation film about a hippy rock and roll group starring Roddy McDowall, the lyrics were a very sombre declaration of love to a maltreated, beleaguered and potentially suicidal individual with whom Morrissey feels the utmost affinity. Surprisingly, he later named the song’s subject as Johnny Marr, detailing what he saw as his ex-partner’s manipulation by an uncaring music industry. Though there’s no reason to doubt this admission, Morrissey’s added claim that it was ‘the only song that I have written with [Marr] in mind, post Smiths’ is more dubious, especially given the circumstances immediately preceding Viva Hate and their resonance with many of the album’s more cutting lyrics. Though a mere 98 seconds long, as Morrissey’s first foray into chamber music, ‘Angel, Angel’ added a further richness of texture to his solo debut. It also became an unexpected setlist regular on his 1991 KILL UNCLE tour, rearranged as a thumping rock track (as seen on the LIVE IN DALLAS video).
честно говоря с трудом верится, что Моз просто так взял и променял одного из величайших существующих гитаристов на одну, едва готовую демо запись
Thanks for uploading! Such a shame that this album is no longer available on Spotify
What a gem in the Moz collection.
Fantastic song to listen to when you are down. ❤
I love this album
His second best solo after the first one. This song is great!!
Never to be adjusted - well ain’t that the truth! Love this song.
Una de las genialidades de temas de Moz!!❤
Morrissey's ode to Macross love triangles
Best thing about being old is being there when all this was going on
☮☮❤❤
I remember trying to learn this riff. Good ol days. I was just starting to learn guitar. Loved this phase of his solo work.
Morrissey threw me this pink bottom shirt, in the ,ELP Tx concert. And this is priceless
So sad as I feel all my life😢
when he said Stevenage overspill my brain glitched into interprting it as Mozza's castoffs
Thank you Very much! Caçadores de Morrissey Rockabilly Club!
Comforting, my wife is about to leave me...
What a perfect little glimpse into the mind of Morrisey, amazing track.
RIP Andy Rourke
This album still grows on me after a quarter of a century !
A sad masterpiece, the end of the song is spechless 😢
Steve Lillywhite is a kickass producer.
That drum intro is fire. Sounds like a lot of the soundtrack to The Life Aquatic
I think I'm addicted to this song now...
Moz is like that 😀
Genius.

The composition is by Morrissey and Vinnie Reilly of Durutti Column, not Stephen Street.
Genius.
this was for johnny marr… it breaks my heart to see them argue today. that difference which attracted them to each other now seems to split them indefinitely. i wonder whether they still “love each other” - in their own words - beyond all hostility.
Awesome tune.
His best songs aren’t in Spotify, I’m so mad
No good songs exist anywhere
Why doesn't this song have 1 billion views? I found it by accident 20 years ago and it slayed me. Little did I know back then it would represent my daughter's life story. My only child daughter has had addiction issues for many years. She used to be a stunningly beautiful green-eyed redhead & a sensitive & caring person. But the drugs have turned her life into a sad & desperate existence. And when they've bought you and they've sold you And they've billed you for the pleasure And they've made your parents cry I will be here, oh, believe me I will be here, believe me But I love you more than life, Vanessa. 😢 Edit on 6-30-23: My daughter passed away yesterday from an OD. My wife & I are heartbroken. Finally, my baby girl is at peace now. Thanks to all who replied to this post. I appreciate all of your kind words. Much love to you all.
I’m sorry for your loss
She is at peace, please try to take comfort in that. Sending your wife and you love
I'm so heartbroken for you. Destroyed her for being beautiful.
my heart is devastated from reading your story. im very sorry for your loss.
@@D34DParadise Peace & Love to you my friend.
