Dense Packed Cellulose Insulation in Neptune, NJ, Delivers Comfort and Savings Year-Round

A homeowner in Neptune, NJ, was uncomfortable because their exterior walls lacked insulation, allowing heat to escape in winter and seep in during summer. To resolve this, we temporarily removed the siding, drilled 2 9/16-inch holes through the wall sheathing, and inserted a fill tube to blow cellulose insulation into the wall cavities using a process called dense packing. Once the cavities were filled, we sealed the holes, reinstalled the siding, and restored the home’s exterior. This upgrade not only improves comfort year-round but also helps the homeowner save on energy bills.
