First week at TMC Transportation
What do you mean got home, do they drop you off and pick you up? How did that work?
during orientation drug screening do they watch you while u pee in cup?
Quit the drugs broski but no
TMC doesn’t even allow headsets
Well said
Thank you man
Great video thank u
Thank you for your honest review. Was considering flatbed. Kind of talking myself out of it. May just stick to dry van. Subscribed.
I'm worried my husband is going to fail his blood pressure. 😔 lol
Really great, straightforward summary of your experience. Thank You! I am a little surprised that an Employee Owned Company would keep some of those more irritating practices, particularly those that put drivers' safety at risk. Seems like drivers should have a larger voice in such matters. Anyway thank you again!
Do they watch you during the urine test ?
I'm going through the TMC orientation right now. The two week class. Going into Sat the first week so far so good. There good people. There just not looking for any goofing around. There very serious. Go in with a positive attitude and ready to learn.
1ST ‼️ YA ✔️
If your a hard worker you can get a different job everyday
no down grading this dude experience but in trucking if you don't want to work hard and want to be home on weekends trucking is not for you...
Get lube cause youre about to get fucked by the lowest paying flatbed carrier lol fyi these "employee owned" carriers are often the worst, tmc, ptl, etc are terrible lol
I didn’t understand what reason they took your last check for?
finally somebody who isnt a tmc fanboy! fucc bro people act like tmc is the glock of truccing lol.
Thanks for your service
Well… I’m in TMC training right now and the manager had came in and literally gave us all the whole run down of what happens when you leave. They were entirely straight forward and honest with you. Every single packet they give you they read over it and explain it as well. Idk trainers you dealt with but either way you made the move you that felt right and that’s all that matters
Im thinking about Tmc training 🤔 is it possible that we stay in touch? Thanks 😊 Also, may I ask what do you make once you are out on your own? Thanks again?
With the manual restriction on your license since tmc on tests out with autos iam curious how many local driving jobs have trucks with automatics?
90 percent have auto s
Great advice !!!!!!! Love it man 👍🏼👍🏼
You're a Marine and YOU think TMC is too uptight? 🤣🤣 Then that means that this former Navy / retired NYPD guy will not survive in TMC!! 🤣🤣 Been 6 months...when is your next video!?
The more you work "off the clock" the less money you actually make.
You’re absolutely right about a lot of things, I drove for Tmc for four months and enjoyed my time there apart from the last month. For the first three months I had Nick as a fleet Manager and he was great, if I had any questions concerns problems anything he would be there to help me and it for me took a lot of stress off of doing what I needed to do. For some reason at the beginning of that fourth month they changed me to another fleet Manager. A guy name Scott out of Brownsburg and what made the situation unbearable was as I’m sure you know a lot of times you show up at somewhere to get a load and there’d be five trucks ahead of you and when it was your turn finally the guy would come up to get your paperwork and he would say something “ oh it’s gonna be a bit before we can unload you because we can’t find Joe the forklift operator”. Anyway there was always something at least for me that would make me lose time and I would of course call Scott and let him know I was going to be stuck but I could never get a hold of him. I will show up at the receiver and as soon as I got there Scott would call me and say why are you late at the receiver. And there were other small things of course too but buy and large the way I was treated by Scott really contributed to an ever increasing stress level which finally that last week of April 2021 made me say screw it. I’m not regretful in anyway about my time there and most of all I am happy to have been with my trainer because that and being in situations like we are with Tmc taught me really truly how to drive a truck and that has helped me with what I do now which is work for a beer distributor.
My husband just started TMC his first week by himself and already frustrated of the equipment not working properly and the manager so my question is do they make you pay back if you quit before a year contract?
@@lifeisbetterwiththedogs605 to be honest with you I can't really say, I mean if he went in on some sort of CDL program where he got his CDL through the company then maybe, however if he just got his CDL or already had it and then just went to work for them then probably not. I mean I didn't when I left, matter of fact I got a last paycheck and so I don't think so, but like I said if it was me I would get in touch with them and make sure
What was their reasoning for taking $600 from you? I don’t think you stated their actual reason. I’m curious
What was the $600 for?
2% on a $4500 ttt week is 90 dollars per week. I'll gladly give up 2% to get my showers.
Amen brother!
Instead of OTR or regional I did food delivery to gain my experience 🥵
If you have to work off the clock they just robbing you hrs.
so if i work at TMC, can i just chill and do like 2-3 loads a week?
No, and don't even bother. I know your comment is from a few months ago. Everyone, including your fleet manager has weekly goals. Unless you mean long runs, but that isn't really how they operate.
You’re too nice to TMC. You know they suck 😂
Portable strap winder. Flatbed must IMO. 👍
Thanks for sharing, honest & positive content
I'm 42 I've been job hooping all my life and never missed a bill what another company won't another one will
That camera is A1😂 🔥
Holy shit Ermon....Can you not smoke for a couple of weeks
Its is ridiculous there
Thanks for the insight...best of luck in your new job!!! Video was very informative and to the point.
Did your TMC truck have an APU?
No
thank you for telling facts. I am looking at TMC because I am single, no kids, and no BS attachments. Looking to run hard AF. Looking to get CDL through trucking school. Prior Army. I'm still researching but it's between Prime Inc Flatbed and TMC.
You can make 💴@ TMC
Melton and Prime pay $100 tarping pay, Starting CDL College Training this week, six weeks then heading to TMC mid September. Good luck. I looked at other two companies and always come back to TMC.
Money is good at TMC. If your down to be away from your bed at home and sacrifice showers, it’ll be a good fit. Just quit after 8 months. It was too much for me personally. But I don’t regret starting there. They have great resources to get a new driver started
@@TheRealAdam1012 great info. Thank you. I am okay with both with missing both of those. All I want to learn is: How to be a safe driver How to secure flatbed loads properly How to trip plan How to manage my clock How to back up consistently Essentially how to be a good and safe flatbed truck driver. I figure I'll be to nervous to even care that much about the money
@@rogerg0834 Little update, I just got my last check today . They took $900 from it. I cleaned my truck too. Idk, seemed petty to me. Speaks volumes on their integrity. Just keep in mind
What kind of drug test do they do
That’s a problem, if they tell me I have to tarp off site, I’ll go off site but I’ll run that shit with no tarp
🤣🤣🤣
That’s a negative ghost rider
With the shortage of drivers I could change jobs everyday and I’m in south Florida
I never worked for TMC but I never really heard much negative talk about them
I have talked with TMC driver's the last two months, 20 plus guys, everyone spoke very highly of TMC. Will be heading over mid September to Des Moines Iowa.
@@hansenhansen8349 I’m interested in TMC, how do you like it so far?
Just about everyone I speak with from TMC say the same thing. They teach you to be hella efficient to save money yet pay you the least in flatbed. I have a ton of respect for flatbed and foodservice drivers, you guys work extremely hard. The pay though with experience or not is absolutely trash and unacceptable.
How long you been driving?
@@frankiegunnz8066 he doesn't
I just talked with a TMC driver 3 days ago, and he showed me what he is making, $2000 a week on average. Heading to TMC mid September.
Took money from you for what reason??
Because he owed it.
I've seen this a lot lately with former TMC drivers who leave them they have a certain amount of money taking out from their last pay check and never fully tell why. Which to me is its either they didn't fully clean the truck, owed money, or etc. but never really said the reason and all of them either say its "petty" or "robbing you of your pay check" but from the youtubers I watched that left TMC to go on to something else after being with TMC for awhile they didn't mention any of this so it has to be these guys did something to have that money taken out. A company just doesn't take money out of your paycheck for nothing cause if they did its illegal. Unless you are having your wages garnished.
They don’t call it “Trucking Marine Corps” for nothin 😂 I put my time in at Swift and left after 10 months because like you I found a better fit. Getting home every weekend was important for me and Swift just couldn’t get it done where I lived. It’s important for guys like you and I to put out videos like this paint a realistic picture of these mega carriers. Not looking to scare people away but also being honest about the positives. I’ll be doing a 3 month review shortly on the company I just moved to. Subbed and looking forward to future videos!
One of the More Informative Videos .. I have driven trucks for over 40 years over 3 months wit and ELD OTR.. Always trying to get that clock stopped.. Glad you mentioned it because Bigger Companies won't say a word about it ... The Milage the load was bid on was always shoter than actual miles taken to get their .. Some times I took a slighly longer route to stay on wide Open Interstates as opposed to going into the Steep Mountains of WV or through Washinton DC.. I drove a 2016 Glider it got it's best mpg at 68 MPH .. a 2020 with Auto got better MPG at 65 60 and better yet at 55 MPH they claim it's hard to beat a Detroit Diesel with An Allison Automatic 12 speed in a 2020 Freightliner.. The MPG claims by Volvo are highter but I don't know if that's at 55 MPH or at 70 MPH
I take a shower Tuesdays and Thursdays, if you go a week thats on you lol and sunglasses is a must lol besafe out there
