You got a steal
Great video
thank you sir
Most welcome
Great video on the Oil change for the 2017 RAV4. However you didn’t show the obvious but simple part of putting the drain plug back in. Do you need a washer for this drain plug? I had changed the oil on a 2016 RAV4 and it previously had the steel washer. So I’m wondering if you had indeed installed with a steel washer or not. You had no video of that procedure .
I did show that, if you have a washer you can reuse the same one.
Great video. Well explained and executed. Thanks, great job out of you!
Thank you!!
Thanks a bunch, i guess when ford says lifetime they figured the car wouldnt last more than 3 years
Hahaha, yeah I have no idea who thought this was a good plan. You are welcome!! 😊
Piękny ❤👌👍
nice ride want to up grade from 2023 sportsman xp570 touring premium ... getting older but luv the ride of a quad
How long did you take to do this roughly?
Probably 15-20 minutes.
Exactly how I built mine. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome!!
How often do the coil packs need changing?
I don’t usually change them unless they go bad. They usually can go 150k without any problems. Maybe keep a couple spares on hand if you are worried.
@@matt-diy Thanks!
Just bought a '09 3.0 4WD for $2,700 out the door as well. Mine runs great as is but I have plans for it.
Very helpful. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
It's specific yet easy videos like these that help first time car owners like me figure out what to do. Thank you for posting the vid!
Glad it helped!!
Good video👍
Thanks 👍
I like the simple controls - on/off and choke, no silly 4 position switches etc
Yep me too!!!
Very helpfull
I have an 011 venza. Exact same filter. I can do an oil change in 15 minutes. Dont even need the filter tool. Just use a 3/8 extension, and out it comes. Buy the filter at any auto supply store. Once you do it, its real easy. Save a lot of $. Dealers charge a small fortune these days. I use 5/20 oil though. A higher mileage car. Good luck.
Mine seems really underpowered. It would not get the lug nuts off of my 1/2 ton truck on any setting. I ended up here looking for a "how to use" thinking I was using the wrong settings or maybe my model didn't have the "1400 lbs of nut busting torque".
Interesting, I wonder what is causing that.
@@matt-diy I tried it again yesterday, on setting 3 after watching your test. If I let it run for 7-10 seconds, it will start to run them and get them off. I would think it would spin them right off, but nope. Battery is at full charge as well. I torque my lugs by hand, so i know they are only torqued to 110 ft. pounds. I am not sure what the deal is, but I know it wouldn't do 1400 lbs like yours did.
@ weird, maybe you can return it.
Really good job Matt, I wish You would do a review on a oil change for a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. One moron actually poured clean oils(synthetic, which is expensive anyway. What a waste) through his system to get out all of the old oil.
Thank you!!! I’d love to but I don’t have any Chryslers to work on haha.
I also have a black 2010 but it is an R-design. It's been a great car. I was thinking of selling but you may have convinced me to keep it around a bit longer. I'll guess 168000 since that's where mine is.
Close I’m at just over 171! Haha great guess unfortunately the contest ended.
Do they give you a receipt?
I don’t believe they did.
Do you ever trailer your 570 SP? If so, what sort of trailer do you have. I've put down a deposit on a 2025 Ranger 570 SP for use around my home, but my utility trailer isn't wide enough to accommodate it if I were to want to take it somewhere. I'm wondering if a typical single axle utility trailer is enough to transport this unit.
Yep! I use a 6.5x10 single axle that works great!
Just a thought but what about a direct power wire to starter with a momentary switch? Just use the key for ignition on/off and new push button start (momentary switch) it does get away from stock but more direct and nothing to fail down the line. Not very familiar with relays but that was going to be my work around for the situation.
Too much amps needed for just a switch, you’d need some high gauge wire and a heavy duty switch. Relay with limited wire is much better.
@ good to know, I already ordered the relays to do it your way but was curious.
@ awesome! Yeah you’ll be all set this way.
You’re the man!!! I actually did have a partially loose connector on the new unit. My first Ferris 2018 started doing this around 1000 hrs the new one 2023 just started at 600hrs. I’ll be wiring up some relays asap. Thank you again.
Good video! We're 6 months into our 23 Ranger with"No" issues.
Hey thanks for the video, I have 2 Ferris with that exact same issue. Any updates on your repair ? Still working properly for you?
Actually I ended up with the same issue again. Check the link below for an updated video that 100% fixed the issue, have had no problems since!! ua-cam.com/video/FF9Ex7mL2-M/v-deo.htmlsi=65wXtfd1WVTSYwAZ
I have a 590 and my father has 2 echoes that one of them he bought before I was born and I am getting ready to turn 52 that says a lot for echo.
That’s awesome!!!
Perfect for water surge areas during storms/hurricanes
Great idea!
I have two of them and you can not beat them for the money and warranty
I know!!
Hi Matt, do you know if this will work on a 2004 PZEV Focus with the 2.3? It has the lifetime air filter.
I’ve heard it will not work on PZEV models but I can’t say for sure. Could always try and return the parts if it doesn’t fit.
My ac blows ice.cold for about 5 or 10 minut3s than ac co.presspr.turns off and blows hot ill crank it in the morning it it.works for 5 .inutes again and turns hot i just paid $200 for a guy to drain i5 vacuum ut and filled it up and it dud the same.thung i hope its.the valve but i wan. Do it my self
Good luck! Could maybe be the valve.
Thanks for making and sharing this with us!!!
You are welcome!! So glad it was helpful!!
Thanks broham! Autozone wouldn't touch it. Gonna order from Amazon and do it this weekend!
Annoying if someone needs a jump and your trunk is full of furniture. And you don't have any tools to get the cover off 😭
Hah, no way! I was that close?!?
You sure were! Good guess! Shoot me an email with your shipping info and I’ll follow-up with you!
Cool! RV project sounds interesting.
That’s what I was thinking! Just have to find one haha
I contract for union auto parts in Memphis and all the GMs here use AC Delco
Thanks I appreciate the info
I'm from Milwaukee and I ought a know, these are the best tools
Hey Matt. Is your car still blowing cold? I need to do this project on my inlaws Volvo XC60.
Still blowing cold!!! 😁
My guess for mileage... 165k miles
mileage 203k
this is how teh Egyptians raised their chariots.
😂😂😂😂
The Volvo's of this generation have a very reliable drivetrain, especially the non-turbo 5-pots paired with a 5-spd manual, almost invincable drivetrain. Where they are less solid is suspension, interior plastics, and if you are unlucky, electronics. The electronics issue is oftentimes due to your drains above the hood are clogged up with gunk, dirt, leaves, stones, and it overflows and then gets into the ECU over a long-long period of time. Clean your drains! (goes for any car really). And the suspension and interior plastics issues are mostly due to age. These things are issues that will appear on any old car, sooner or later. My Volvo V70 from this generation and the same platform is almost 20 years old now, during it's life it has needed the following: 1. Timing belt and waterpump 2. Alternator 3. One wheel bearing 3. Two batteries 4. Rear springs (rusted out) 5. Windshield 6. One brake caliper + Regular maintenance according to the maintenance plan (this includes engine oil, all the kinds of filters, brake fluid, spark plugs, brake pads, discs etc). Nothing else has needed to be done, we're talking a 20 year old premium car here. These were really good.
I agree 100%! Thanks for the comment, I am going to reference some of these thoughts in my next video!
Hey guys! When I made this video I forgot about giving myself time to edit 😂. So, I will close the entries at the end of Thursday 10/24. Thanks for your understanding!!!
130000 thanks for the video.
Mechanically, they are as robust as a Toyota and will run well with routine maintenance. Cosmetically, they will show their age as the interior plastics. soft-touch surfaces, and headliner will no doubt be degrading as these vehicles continue to age. I have an '06 Acura MDX and an '11 Volvo XC90 for the family fleet. The 231Kmi Acura's seats are pretty thrashed but the headliner looks brand new. The 189k mi Volvo's seats are in great condition but its headliner (including the sunroof are going kaput). Other than that, my wife love's the thing and I love taking solace in the fact that she and my sons are safe and sound any time they take off in the Swedish tank. Btw, you actually have the SAT-Nav GPS in your car! Still works well but it's not a touch screen! Give it a go when you are able. Guess on mileage... 178K mi
300 000 miles
Thank you for an interesting video.
