I can still see Phil on the mv agusta and Barry Sheene on unsilenced rg500 suzuki at Mallory Park first time I went there in 1974 on my suzuki hustler the sound of both bikes is still with me now after all this time thanks Phil and Barry for a fantastic time the transatlantic match races were unbelievable proper bikes tzeds and rgs the sound and smell of castrol R I'll never forget thanks for the memories Dave Potter John Newbold John Williams Barry Ditchburn et al .I'm there now thanks

That's a Great Honour bestowed on Phil Reads Sons.May his memory remain in the achievements he had accomplished in the hight of his Motor Racing Carrier.

There weren't many racers who crashed themselves down to 100% effort but Crox was one of them. 5 Stars.

Phil was looking frail there. I last saw him 2 years before he died signing books in Birmingham with his wife helping out. Had a conversation and he appreciated meeting someone who knew his achievements back in the 60s and 70s. One of the best riders GB ever had.
