the first penalty for max was nonsense, it was him taking his line and lando just divebombing which seems to be all lando is capable of recently shouldnt give you a corner. the second bit was absolutely max driving lando off and i understand that he probably did that because of landos shit move to overtake off the track but that does not excuse what max did and i wholeheartedly approve of that penalty.

I found the actual road trip a bit underwhelming compared to their past adventures, Eurocrash was the last great special to me, but I realise that that wasn't the point of this one. Finishing at Kubu Island was not something I was expecting but it was a great touch. I'm surprised they were able to use the old footage to compare the beginning vs the end as it would be owned by the BBC, so I'm glad someone had the sense to allow them to use it (even though they likely had to pay for it). It was a great send off I think.

If russell could do a one stop on older tyres than zHamilton, then Hamilton could have done the same. Sir Lewis first suggested doing the one stop but was denied, George suggested doing the one stop, was given the opportunity and all of a sudden zGeorge is Einstein.

Lewis was battling with Oscar and Leclerc. Mercs didnt inform Lewis he was battling Russell until it was too late. Lewis instead was told to lift and coast and managed the race with Oscar and Leclerc. Russell by the way was told to lift and coast, and should he have done so he would have been behind both oscar and Charles. He was never in the fight to be first place. His fight was with lando and Max. Hence the DQ. The two stop was the optimum strategy. Those that did a 1 stop that was in line with the regulations were kinda nowhere. If Russell was within the regs on a one stop he would have been behind lewis charles and Oscar. Felt bad that Russell stole Charles a podium celebration.
