Crazy thing is i think part of why concord failed is due to the "realistic" aesthetic of the game. Similar to the avengers game, those characters dont look that great when translated into gritty realism but if concord had a more stylized visual aesthetic i think people would hate on the character design a lot less.

I could totally be misremembering but I think after this Logan explains to Spider Man his logic in private. Basically, Spider-Man puts the weight of the world on his shoulders. Always tries to help saves countless people and does his best to be nice. All while getting the crap kicked out of him because he holds back and doesn’t kill. Meanwhile the media makes him out to be a criminal and half of New York is dumb enough to believe it .Basically Logan is like “kid I can’t slash my way through those kinds of issues, I couldn’t be half the man or hero you are. That’s why I would be scared to be you.” Meanwhile Spider Man is in absolute awe that Logan gave him that kind of compliment. At least he thinks it was. Then Logan threatens him to never tell anyone. Logan apologizes for getting him wrapped up in this and making him look bad at school. If I’m completely wrong, that his my head canon

Yeah this was the WORST STORY of Ultimate Vol. 1, and it was SO BAD that Brian Michael Bendis forced the author (in cartoon effigy) to acknowledge how fucking terrible it was and apologize for it. That author later gave us Paul when he took over Amazing. But then, just about EVERYONE in Ultimate Marvel is a much more dickish version of who they are in 616. The whole concept of the "more realistic" take was "assholes=realistic".

Why didn't Jean just rip Logan's skin off or fling him into the ocean? He can survive both and it ends up nothing but an inconvenience but instead someone else has to get dragged into it?

Y'know, they don't just underestimate Spidey's abilities, they also clearly disregard any potential intelligence he may have, despite showing it many times. To the point where someone from The Fantastic Four (Sue?) reassured someone else (Bruce Banner, maybe? Not sure on that one) that they'd be "pleasantly surprised" while holding a discussion/brainstorm/think-tank/whatever you wanna call it, after something happened and they needed to figure out how to reverse process. I believe it was when Spidey somehow took the gamma from Banner, causing Peter to hulk out at night while Banner was normal. I could be wrong, I don't really read comics.
