Thanks, very helpful. I am entering my old logbook (1993-2005) into HAMRS and converting the file to ADI and bringing that into Log4OM. I will compare that technique to the Lazy Log and let you know which is easier. I guess I was overthinking silent keys and assumed that the online call sign lookup would automatically bounce the old logs because of an inactive call sign or silent key. 73 OM!

Hi Terry. I’m sorry but this still isn’t clear. I have read the latest document and I still don’t understand the ‘simple’ process of automatic upload to eqsl. To allow automatic upload does it need to be set to ‘requested’ and if I do that will the status change when it has been uploaded? The same question really applies to downloads. If I set‘ requested’ does that status change when a card is present in my inbox? I’m new to log4om but I’ve been using eqsl manually for years. 73, John.

Thank you, I have installedLog4 om for a while now but I was wondering how to make certain settings work, ie show the frequency for the log, I spent a good bit of time with your video chopping from You Tube to my program and was able to get it working better with the frequency working now, stil need to check the log setting to upload logs., and as I dont do contest and I will sort this out as well soon. Please forgive me for asking but how is the radio connected to the pc to be able to use LOG4OM? The FT-5DR for example. Do you use the cable that came with the radio or is another cable required?

i see many calls on freq. in cluster when i try to work there are away for example there is a ON station that calling on 7130 when i go to this freq. i heard a station from EA its always the same story sor to say ca,n i change this in settings pls tu gl 73,

Thank you Terry very helpful, specially selecting the qso's with left mouse and ctrl tab. In LOG4OM version 1, there was a column to mark and select qso's , I could not find it in version 2 and the helpfile does not mentioned it. So thanks again !.

Hi Terry a quick question iv followed your video but the qrz look up finds the operators name and country but dose not load up the their photo from qrz also if I work a uk station the map always goes to a town in the midlands no mater where their qth is 🤔any pointers would be much appreciated…

I normally answer to QSLs received and want Tnx QSL instead of Pls QSL - How is this done?

I need help 😁😁 Please help me figure out why eQSL doesn't work ? If I'm trying to upload new QSOs to eQSL it doesn't work. If I was to download confirmed QSOs and the eQSL cards from eQSL that doesn't work here. I messaged them and it seems that all my settings are correct. Username / Password / QTH Nickname. What else could be fixed to get it to work ? Maybe I did something wrong i don't know. Thank you.

Excellent! I was copying the file to the wrong place as the user directory didn't exist in my new install. Once I created the user folder and copied it in there, hey presto! Thank You!

Hi Terry and everybody . Thanks for the brilliant Log4om programme ( I am so pleased with it I have donated already and will yearly now ) I have a question . Is it possible for me import an adi file and append it to my current live log ? This comes about by me using my desktop for all USUAL logging etc but if I were to use my laptop for say a 2 day cw event from home (using my own callsign )and I need to append my current log with the 2 day log from my laptop. Hello Terry. Thanks for putting this video together. I am very new to LOG4OM and I wonder if there is a way to mark the received QSL card for printing straight from the QSL Manager as the cards are being entered (received). QSL in - label out. Looks cumbersome to having to do this from another utility with number of screens to go about. 73 - Nick VE3Ey

Good instructions, but what a horrible way to enter data. Drop down boxes would be so much faster. I have 4 boxes of old cards to enter, I will never finish in my lifetime entering them in this way. A shame, onto another logging program that will make this faster.

I'm just dragging myself, kicking and screaming into the computer age Terry, and this video has helped me out no end. Thank you for saving me a fortune in pencils and pads. lol M0HUX

Nice Terry but with the new version or update of V2 I see a lot bigger menu with a lit more functionality that you will have to cover in another video pse.

Hello, would you know if there is a specific file/folder where contacts information is stored in the program and what it is called? By using a data recovery program one hopes to retrieve this file/folder , reinstall Log4OM, add the data of the original folder to the new installation and recover QSO details. Thanks.
