☔️ STRATH CREEK FALLS - Ambient - Winter - Drone
All nature sounds have been field recorded from this forest. Music composed on MPC 2.
Nestled deep in the heart of Mount Disappointment State Forest, north of Melbourne, Strath Creek Falls is highly seasonally and reliant on substantial and consistent rain before it looks like this. Come in summer and you'll be leaving nasty reviews on Tripadvisor.! :) This would be the heaviest i've seen it in the 20 years I've been visiting.
It falls into a steeped and not easily accessed valley that eventually runs down into the Strath Creek township. There have been a few deaths and rescues here in various forms over the years. The video shows consistent piles of rocks and rubble downstream from the falls from landslides off the clean rock face. Its appears to be quite unstable.
I have some autumn and spring footage too which shows the area in a brighter light. As time avails, I shall get those videos up too.

I hope that drone dealt with the heat okay lol. All joking aside though, this is a great video. I have lived in Australia for all my life but never been out to the outback. So it's awesome to see what it's really like out there.
Ha! Yeah there was zero issues with the heat, if flew fine. I’ve had some recent issues with it due to minor crashes (pilot error 100%), but I can’t get it repaired as Autel do not support any older models. I’m not overly happy with them as a company, been fighting like hell to get them to do something but it’s not likely. Thanks for the comments and yes it is magnificent out in these parts. Apart from Tasmania, there’s deserts of varying types in every state. The best skies you will ever see are in the deserts of South OZ.

@@richardweston4493 There are many free editing software which will do the job. I'm using Shotcut free video editor for Linux. This one will do 4k. There is also the VSDC -Free software for Windows. Pixels are everything now. Even if you have recorded the video in HD 1080p these 2 editing soft wares will make it 4k. Just needs a little sharpening. Your music is epic!

This video made me so emotional. I love the outback but the way you’ve captured the barren land, it’s surreal and riveting. Mother Earth is beautiful in every landscape she exists. Even a desert looks so perfect. One day for sure I’ll travel to these parts and capture this with my own eyes. I would like to thank you for making such an amazing video. Great job.
