It shouldn’t be surprising that art has both a mental and physical effect on the human being. Do you recall the craze for adult coloring books? Research has shown that making art, even just coloring or drawing, can reduce blood pressure, boost the immune system, and reduce stress. It also improves our concentration and memory. Even just looking at beautiful works of art and being around it appe...

As a Mexican visual artist living and working in New York, Carlos became deeply curious about the experiences of other Mexican artists who came to this city before him and the legacies they left behind. Pursuing them in the spaces he now inhabits, he has turned to them for creative inspiration at times and questioned how their experiences as immigrants and artists link to his own. This talk, wh...

Fantastic! Thank you, Lana.
I'm curious how many of the artists were involved in ww2 and cold war espionage.

This guy is incredible!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much :)
Great job, thanks!
Thank you so very much…an absolutely riveting demonstration and class. Bravo Maestro!
Very interesting. Thx
Vermeer ended himself ?.
Excellent lecture. This country would collapse overnight if the Black, Hispanic, and Muslim communities simply stopped working. The relentless bigotry will inevitably destroy our democracy.
Such an interesting lecture.

Thank you for the fascinating talk. I found myself wondering if there were any studies focused on the difference between being creator or audience - i.e. art as a creative process or art as a finished product experienced by audience?
Thank you for this wonderful lecture! Perhaps it's because I've seen some of the locations painted by Moran that his work doesn't pull me into fascination as much as Chase's work which always suggests a 'story' to me. I, too, very much enjoyed the contemporary quotes about the paintings. Once again, thank you!
Nice one Lana. From Australia 🦘
the wedding of Arnolfini is likely more a memorial to his deceased wife, who likely died in child birth...
This channel is great. I hope you will have more followers. Maybe in the following chapters I will get information about Francesco Hayez, Carl Bloch and Antonio Ciseri from art experts. 😂
You make it look so simple but there is so much packed into your process ❤❤❤
Your demos are mesmerizing. I have taken some of your online demos found at your website and have learned so much. Thank you for sharing.
wow! so nice!
Very interesting- a great presentation

Why 3 of them..?
so many teeny, tiny pieces of pastel! Magnificent as always Lana
I never cease to be amazed at how good you are at painting seascapes. I really appreciate you narrating with detailed explanations
Wow! You've got to see this discussion about the "WOW! You've Gotta See This" exhibition!
Paintings look like this if you are nearly blind. Too bad if you think this is representative of his vision.
I have a great niece that is very talented. She lives in Brentwood and is not very monitarily privledged. I would like to help her prepare her portfolio for her application to colleges and universities. Is there a class that you could provide to talk about college prep and portfolios?
I must compliment Beth for this wonderful demonstration. She covered the right amount of information and tricks to give students a understanding of the versatility of qouache. Thanks for sharing, Beth!
We do have classes that fall within our Portfolio prep program. I would suggest one of our Foundational Drawing and Painting classes which are primarily aimed at middle and high school students. We hold this class on two different days. Tuesday evenings from 6-9pm and Saturday mornings 11am-2pm.. My suggestion would be for her to tale the Saturday class if she is able to as it is a smaller class so she would get more individualized attention but the Tuesday one would work as well. They are taught by the same instructor. He can give advice on portfolio prep and help her work on pieces for her portfolio. We do offer scholarships for students in need. I have one more I could give out and I generally award 25% of r a 4 week session. However if she wanted to register now for the remaining three weeks of this session I would make an exception and prorate the fee. The prorated fee including a 25% scholarship would be $135.00 for the remaining three weeks of the Saturday morning class or $90.00 for the remaining two weeks of the Tuesday evening class. If you prefer to wait until the start of the Spring l session which begins the week March 27th the fee including the 25% scholarship would be $180.00 for the full 4 week session of either the Tuesday or Saturday class. If you go onto our website www.atelierflowerfield.org you will find a scholarship application form. Alternatively you may email me at administrator@atelierflowerfield.org and I will email a form to you. I hope this information is useful and feel free to call us at 631-250-9009, if you have any questions. Warm regards, Gaby
Great demo, your students must get a lot of info in a class of yours, I learned so much in the 1 hour demo, thanks!
Thanks
Thank you 💐
Superb tutorial. Exploring different brushes and papers with their reaction with gouache was very informative. An important teaching tool for students of all caliber.
Thank you Max 💐

Wonderful how lovely for you Jack you well deserve this
I am truly honored that Linda Catucci reached out to ask if I would like to have an exhibit at the beautiful Atlier at Flowerfield. I am overwhelmed by the kindness of Linda, Bill, Donna and everyone. I am truly humbled by these wonderful speeches and I truly wish I could have been there. Unfortunately my broken hip is greatly prohibiting me from doing many things I love. Watching this video has truly warmed my heart. ♥I thank you all
Neill gives an brilliant summary of his art so far and all the influences that inspired him. It's rare to get such a thorough, educated, honest insight into the evolution and influences of an artist's work. Thank you, Neill
Most enlightening webinar by Neill Slaughter presenting his illustrious art career for a half a century. I am looking forward to seeing the art exhibition at the Atelier at Flowerfield.
