Great check in just got home from a 13 hour drive from Kansas City. we have a 15k repair from our heat pump catching fire and almost burning down our home. God is good but i am stressed

Sorry about the tree. Both you and your neighbor need to check your home owners insurance to see if you are covered. Most home owners insurance has a deductible of $1000. Take photos. lots and lots of photos from all sides, this is to document the accident and to potentially protect yourself. How tall is the tree? Is it something you and your neighbor can deal will a chainsaw or do you need to call a local tree service? It will probably cost about $1000 to cut up that tree. If the tree was alive and healthy insurance will probably not cover it and consider it an act of god. Speaking from recent experience a neighbor had a tree fall on her back fence. It was a healthy elm tree and we had a lot of rain in May and a very bad storm and very soggy ground and there she goes. The HOA came in with a professional arborist to examine the tree and several surrounding ones. The HOA removed the fallen tree and two more that were located near the elm for just in case. Only one panel of the homeowners fence was damaged and the cost to replace it would be $600. The HOA insurance did not paid to replace the homeowners fence because it was a healthy tree and it falling was an Act of God. The homeowners home owner's insurance did not paid to replace the fence because it was covered under the deductible. The homeowner is furious and wants the HOA to pay for her fence. The cost to clean up the fallen tree and the two other trees was $4200. Best of luck.

So sorry to hear about the tree falling Mrs. P. ): If the damage is less than your insurance deductible, it’s usually worth paying out of pocket (with your emergency fund) and not going through insurance. Most insurance companies will raise your premium when you submit claims!

I completely understand the “teacher tired.” It has been too warm of a fall to have the heat on in the buildings. In TN, volunteering to work games, concession stand, sponsoring clubs, etc is something that goes toward the Professionalism part of our yearly teacher evaluation.

I think it will be good that you do the true snowball I think it will make sure the extra money goes to debt and will help you to get out of debt sooner.

You're doing great! That was fun, I especially like the one with the multi-colored dice. My grandson (7) rolled 4 each and laughed when I had to save $111, needless to say there was a large IOU. Too fun though!
