It should be there very soon!
This is beautiful. What is that style of playing called?
Not sure it has a name.
Love the crosses!!
Thanks for your kind words. We love the crosses too. We are currently working on an 8’ cross that will hang over a baptismal. Fun fun fun!

Oh how beautiful! You don't happen to have a tab for it?? I would be willing to pay for it.
Sorry but I don’t use tabs. I just hum a song a couple of times and then start strumming. One of the advantages of playing an instrument tuned to a chord. 🙂
You are a lucky one who is able to do that .... Thanks for your reply.
Amazes me how sweet an instrument with so few strings can sound!🤗
@@reginarose9139 this is our latest dulcimer #903. I’m very pleased with its tone.
Richard's painting will arrive soon! I wish I could say the same for Dan's dulcimer. Please put in my name for #1000. I would like to see a combination of Port Orford cedar and Myrtle. This one # 903 sounds great especially in the hands of a master!
Ya never know who's going to win this one! I've done several Myrtle and Port Orford Cedar dulcimers. They are beautiful and sound great. It's been hard getting PO Cedar for dulcimer tops recently though.
I am a subscriber and MD player. Would love to win #1000.
@@Bill-y8s thanks for entering!

Outstanding - love it and looking forward to many enjoyable days with it. Your workmanship is outstanding Dan! Beautiful flute and a lovely voice it has.
Thank you for your kind words. It will be in your hands in a couple of days. Thanks again.
Thank you. Really enjoyed making your flute!!
Beautiful!
Thanks
Beautiful!
Thank you!
😊😊👍👍Wonderful!
Beautiful! Love the shirt! Nice haircut-you clean up well! I've always been curious as to why the strum hollow exists as it seems that nobody ever actually strums there?
Strum hollow is used by some but not all. Sound gets pretty tinny the closer to the bridge you go.
Que som lindo! ☺️
Beautiful !
Thanks. I'd love to sit on the wall at Shore Acres and play one of our flutes while watching the Ocean Waves!
Muito lindo!
Xeque demais! 🔥
Oh, just awesome, what a beautiful sound and beautiful dulcimer! Would you share what tuning you're using please?
It’s just a simple DAD tuning. Nothing fancy. Thanks for your comment. This dulcimer sold right after I published this video but I’m currently building a similar dulcimer out of Cherry and Spruce. I’m looking forward to hearing it!
Thank you! You build wonderful dulcimers -I’ll look forward to hearing the next one you finish!
Thanks for the encouragement!@@LynnGould-dk6jt
It's amazing always knowing tradicional songs by your channel.
❤back in the 70's I made one in college ❤ and still have it.❤❤😂
❤
Thank you ❤.
Glad you enjoy the channel
I hope you play it from time to time.
Nice!!!
Thanks!
Now you need to publish the tabs so we can all learn it.
I don’t use tabs. I just hum it a few times then play it.
Me too! @@NewTraditionsDulcimers
Oh man! Another all time favorite! Whenever I hear this song I'm transported to Harpers Ferry and remembering seeing the confluence of the Shenandoah and the Potomac from the pedestrian bridge that crosses over from the C&O towpath to the town. Thanks for the memories.
Harpers Ferry was one of our favorite places to visit during our time in Maryland. So much of America happened in that little corner of our nation.
Beautifully done! I remember the first time I ever heard this song. On KFML AM in Denver . They were the best free-form station ever. Thanks for putting this up. I love the figure in the wood on the back.
Thanks for the comment ... KFML WOW!!!!! now there's a blast from my past ...
