Me daughter 5 year loves it she wants to learn

I see you keep your pinky finger on the whistle. It gives more stability but I just cant seem to accurately and quickly move my lower three fingers if i have it on there. Any tips? Is this normal and does it need more practice or am i holding it wrong. How bad is it to have less stability

I do my best to trying playing it on a flute. You’re a good teacher. I was searching the tabs since a long time. It’s thanks to Alan STIVELL I knew this tune when I was 18 , a long time ago ! I understand the Irish rebellion also. This tune is very moving. I want this tune to be played when I die. I asked it for my funerals !!!!!

Got invited to a session by a violinist in my local area months ago (double bass and viola player here) and now i assist every single one this people gather! there are excellent musicians there, and very kind to any person approaching the session. As you said, it fullfils the social aspect of music, exactly what I felt, you explained excellent 😃. I was missing that feeling for years in my local area (here there are excellent musicians, and many jams on much local and international genres, but they frequently play pretty hard music and it excludes people to play, and it does'nt catch so much on the people not playing) I'm a musician and luthier but i like the idea of keeping it simple in order to include people. The first day i went to the irish session i did'nt knew any tune, and did'nt know anything about irish music, now i'm eager to learn. I started learning more tunes session by session, in a natural way. Most fun experience in my music life in years! Thank you for the tunes as they play some of these! next one i'm playing more & better 😀.

I really want to learn this song but I just do not get the D+ - it sounds so horribly wrong while all other notes sound just fine (for my skill). I already tried different pressures when blowing but it's always not sounding like when any other player does it. Also I realized when watching your fingers you are kinda NOT opening the first hole like the tab is showing it - it kinda looks like you hold the d instead of the D+ Any help what I am not understanding here?
