Micro Seiki DD-40 Turntable Tone arm lifter repair
I had had a very fast lowering (dare I say drop?) of my tonearm when I purchased this years ago. Finally got around to disassembling it, purchasing some 300 000 silicone tonearm lubricant, and putting it all back together. I forgot to take a video of the piston with the lube on it, but after reading of a few others with issues of a ‘farting sound’ due to too much silicone I was careful not to use too much. Just filled the grooves, and lightly greased the rest. The silicone oil here is the AK 300000 by Wacker® as recommended in the service manuals for Dual turtables. All is well now!

Can y ride with 70 km speed comfortable for a long period?
thank you, very good
Good evening, where did you find the wooden cell head?
ayant une Seiki et dual , je trouve que vos mains sont un peu lourde dans la manipulation , c'est quand même fragile ,autrement vous avez réussi avec le graissage
I don't know how to let it go down slowly, please help me, thank so much
hi I also use Micro dd-7 it also has anti skating not good, I want to ask you that you just remove and oil the 2 grooves on that shaft right?
Good information
Thx for the video. I'm waiting for the postman to bring some synthetic oil. Did you dip the arm lift in the oil to fill those grooves?
No problem. I actually just dropped it on if I recall with the syringe that the oil came in. Surprised how little it took to make such a difference.
In the UK these must be as rare as hen's teeth! I had one in 68/69. It was rough and ended up being scrapped. The self starter was a hoot. I loved it. This one of yours is amazing.
I had one when I was 16 - about 1963, Mum wouldn't let ne have a proper motorbike, she thought scooters were safer.
I had one in London UK 1956 - 59 Never locked it. Left overnight parked on the street, never touched
Wow. That’s incredible. Not today. Haha
Vidim da su nove gumene navlake sjedišta. Molim inf. gdje se mogu nabaviti?.Hvala
Vladimir Duvnjak I can’t translate you comment. Sorry. Can you translate to English?
@@DanSmith-jk4tw I see new rubber seat covers. Please inf. where can i get them? .Thanks
@@ijg4427 NSU Motzke if I recall correctly.
Very nice job, finding the parts must have been hell
Actually nsumotzke has almost all parts still. A bit expensive but when you’re stuck they always come through. I started with local ads, then ebay ( especially ebay.de) then motzke as a last resort. You’d be surprised at how many of these are around still. The Cadillac of scooters folks tended to not scrap them.
@@DanSmith-jk4tw hi dan. I got one thats been in the shed for 50yrs its all there but need new rubbers and fule lines etc. And a key. Any chance u could send me some details on the places to get parts . That will be such a help.
What synthetic oil?
Sorry just saw this. Ordered from EBay. Seller in Hamburg. Search Silicone Damping Oil fluid AK 300000 for turntable tonearm lift
Thanks Peter. Unfortunately I sold it a few months ago. It is now in Redondo Beach California being taken care of by a wonderful gentleman who is a bit of a collector.
Hello Dan, what a nice Prima D, congratulation, I have one as well. Do you want to chat a bit about? (www.denkscherz.de and I am also on Facebook)
