The 36 hours that Adam and Chavah were allowed to spend in Gan ‘Eden correspond to the 36 neroth of Chanukkah (leaving aside the Shamash). I don’t remember where I heard this, but it is not original with me. Interestingly, the Gematria of Leah is 36, and the Gematria of Rachel is “vayehi ohr” (this Iearned from Rebbitzen Channah Schafer).
