Here you'll find videos representative of my life and personal experiences. There's also videos that I've made to go along with original music from myself and friends as well as some re-butchered film footage and related soundtracks.

When I saw this, I assumed the filmmaker had seen the tryptichs from Gance's Napoleon (1927). But Napoleon was stripped of its three screens in the United States, and this appears to have been made earlier. The Italian Ambrosio company used a similar technique for 1920s travelogues.

Frank Zappa teaches Steve Allen to play The Bicycle (1963)
Переглядів 704 тис.9 років тому
Frank Zappa teaches Steve Allen to play The Bicycle (aired March 3, 1963) This televisual gem inspired me follow along which got me into endless trouble at family picnics and barbecues for playing my own symphonic masterpieces which, for some strange reason, nobody else seemed to enjoy. I extended Frank's genius to my exploration of the vacuum cleaner, ping pong balls and paddles, hammers on co...

Made in response to a call for artworks by Moan Lisa for "5089: the post mail art movement" www.moanlisa.org This video is my original work, so I guess I can't blame anyone else for whatever's wrong with it. Based on the 7/7's prime. It carries minor significance in Prime Number Set Theory Mathematics. It has significance in Numerology for the same reasons, but with links to Biblical references...
Day, in landscape - extended version
Переглядів 13810 років тому
This video is an examination of the ontology of daily existence. It is an examination of the landscape of a day, filmed in landscape orientation (16x9). It coincidentally took just over 24hrs to render this video in 1920x1080p full resolution at maximum bit-depth. It is a collage of daily activity around my home. Although this video is long and may seem slow in parts, it is filled with visual a...
Intransitive Venus
Переглядів 11910 років тому
"Intransitive Venus" is a short video with a collage flavour inspired by older classic Arthur Lipsett works. I think I may have missed my mark. I had to make many compromises along the way, as compared to my original vision. It retains a lo-fi feel while using some high quality sequences. It took more time than I had anticipated to create the many new graphics and minor animation sets along the...

Celebration of Light 2013 - Team UK July 27, 2013 10:00pm These images were taken from my balcony approximately 9.5 miles away from English Bay, since there was no way I was about to brave the crowds. Jostling for access on city transit trains is hard enough during regular traffic and our system leaves a lot to be desired when considering accessibility. I feel it's best to avoid the drunks, pic...
Annabelle Dances and Dances 1894-1897
Переглядів 44 тис.10 років тому
One of the first film stars, Annabelle made her debut at the Columbian Exposition in 1893. She was a featured performer on Broadway when she was filmed by Dickson in 1894. Her Serpentine and Butterfly Dances were so popular that Dickson filmed her again for the American Mutoscope in 1896. - Paul Spehr Annabelle's skirt dances are among the earliest artistic works in film history. Looking direct...

The 2st MOI! 😊😮
Early autism. When it was okay to let people be. 🎉
You thought TV was stupid now, but no it was from the start
Great clip. Frank so young
"Let down your front, Steve!"
Wow,never saw this. What a trip.😊

KUDOS to Steve Allen.
I was able to go to a Zappa concert in the early '80s in Tampa, FL. Unfortunately, it was in a Jai Alai fronton; worst possible place for a concert! He was an awesome musician! Too bad he was stupid enough to start smoking and never quit.
EDM before EDM became a thing.
So i get that this was probably a highly unusual guest (and likely last minute time slot fill) for this show, but he kind of seemed like a dick, continuing to interrupt and make mocking jokes - but maybe I'm wrong?... Never seen any other Steve Allen segments. On a separate note, could you imagine if FZ lived in an era of digital recording and editing?! No doubt he'd have some amazing cutting edge techniques, similar to Trent Reznor

good to kno the name is pronounced Zoppa spare me.
sounds like trash - i'm so shocked. also sounds like most of Zappa's other noise. low vibe chaotic degeneracy
"noises" "let some of this noise through" "make any noise" cool to see the master himself admit that he produces and sells noise as opposed to actual music.
Zappa was probably already high on L by then.😮😢
hold the mic right here. imbecile stands 5 feet away... what a perfect example.
This may be the best thing Frank Zappa ever did.
"Writing about music is like dancing about architecture ….
so good ❤
Steve Allen was a talented jazz musician as a well as a pretty good comedian, but I think he was in over his head here.
Fast forward to now...history tells a different story ,if the audience only knew what was to come ,they would be swamping him for an autograph ,telling how freaking cool he is. Never judge, history will correct you.
Boeing and aero jet 😂😅
Sadly, it's impossible not to see that Frank was completely an industry plant. Unless some big brain would care to give me a legitimate argument on how he possibly could have gotten on this show doing this. Btw, I'm most likely a bigger Zappa fan than 95% of people watching this. I currently own entire studio discography and most of his official live releases.
Sheik Yurbuti
You gotta love Frank Zappa. and especially here a very young Frank Zappa. his brutal honesty was so AWESOME. and he was so humble here. these are the traits that he always had. it's no wonder why he was such an amazing musician. Steve Allen was the precursor to Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show. and also had very interesting guests on the show.
He sure changed into a character after this. Movin' to Montana.....🌜
Zappa was creative and fun throughout his carrier. This is a great piece reminding me ones again about Henry Dagg and his instruments (like the voicycle).
🤔Uh huh an interesting Load of Doggie CRAP❗️🥳‼️😎🥺🐶🐾🐾💨💩🙈🎉Zing🫣huh? 😳Did e’ do it?🙉🫣🐒🌬️👃🏽🤏🏽🌫️☹️😖
Fronk Zoppa
Frank and Steve, we miss you both. Thanks guys.
Frank Zappa being Frank Zappa being way way ahead of his time.
F*** cool ever since.... 😂😂 Unbelievable. Miss him very much.... Or guys that are a little bit like him ....
Frank was a gem
Steve Allen: how long have you been playing the bike? Frank Zappa: about 2 weeks.. The world lost a great mind when Frank passed away, his wit and humor will be missed just as much as his music.
They thought he was a joke, but he became very famous
Steve Allen trying to be funny but was actually very rude.
He might be moving to Montana soon
Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow.
When have we ever seen Frank smile so much?
I gather that "How is your bird" was never released 🙄
Steve is better at bicycle bowing than Frank is lol. He's a natural.
Bye-Cycle lol
I love UA-cam : )
Far out! 🚲🎶
Two years later, Zappa recorded "Freak Out". Wild transformation!
It was a cacofony but the musicians enjoyed it.
