I have questions why renal doctors not talk to catract surgeon. I been going to same eye doctor for 15 years. He never told me I had amd. I was driving to work my vision in my right eye was bad. Go to my eye doctor. They give new glasses which I couldn't see out of. Then Sent to a renal doctor. Then find out have amd in both eyes. Scaring my right eye which could have been prevented if I was told I had amd.

Can wet macular ever go back to the dry form? Because wet means there is bleeding, so what causes the bleeding?

I have Amd in both eyes and catracts. I have dry in left eye and wet in right eye. My right catract and wet amd caused my vision to be worse.

I have wet macular and cataracts and went ro the cataracts Dr he also found that some dead cornea cells were present, and would not recommend the cataracts is this fact?surgery

Greetings of a heart patient, I’ve and one who has macular degeneration in both eyes, and whenever I spoke to the doctor the last meeting for my visit of of my eyes, he spoke to me about getting cataract surgery. I have cataracts in both eyes of 73 years young, I do know one thing when I do get the shots for my medicine and my eyes for the macular I have problems with getting nauseated sometimes. Thank you.

I have been told by my eye specialist that I have cataracts but they aren't bad enough to remove at this time. I have dry AMD & if removing the cataracts would likely improve my vision should I push to have them removed?

I feel, like other medical issues, drug therapy causes nutrient deficiencies ..so AMD stems from this to some extent..our diets play a big role.
