Landlocked Ship Hotel! Visiting the Fulton Steamboat Inn and Touring the Decks in Lancaster!
If you find yourself driving through the farmland of Lancaster Pennsylvania, you might be greeted by a strange sight. The Fulton Steamboat Inn rises three decks high and makes no other ports of call. You might be asking yourself, why is a steamboat landlocked in the middle of Pennsylvania? In fact, this steamboat is a replica dedicated to Robert Fulton who was born just a few miles from the hotel.
Join me on a tour of this roadside attraction to see whether or not you'd board a boat to nowhere.

I remember the 1990 remodel. The carpet throughout the mall was torn up, floor leveled where it could be leveled, steps and ramps installed where needed, and tiled throughout. SO DUSTY! The work was finished finally, and the mall had a grand reopening party. Sad to see this.

Late 90s earlier 2000s this was one of my favorite places to be right outside the food court I met my first girlfriend like real girlfriend I was 14 in 2001. I just remember Marley mall having best time there in my teenage years I even got into a few scraps there anyways being from Pasadena there wasn't much to do but get into trouble as a teen boy well for me anyway. But its sad to see such a great mall at one time with so many memories just get abandoned eventually.

Those old malls have large spaces with all those storefronts, bathrooms and food courts. Seems they could be repurposed to meet immigration or homeless needs. You could deliver migrants to one end, have them work through medical screening to claims processing, feed them, have courtrooms set for immediate immigration hearings then out the other end to immediate deportation.

When Sears laid off all their hardware and tools employees who had experience, and knowledge on their products, and made you stand in line at one of those central check out places, i never did buy from them again.

I was looking at the NY company that bought this mall. According to other dead mall videos, the company is not good news for the mall. They usually just hang on to it for a tax write off. Hopefully that’s not the case with this mall. It’s a really nice mall. Is there anything still open?

I myself don’t go to malls anymore I shop on Amazon or Wal Mart and I work at Burlington Coat Factory and I shop there……Eventually I think we won’t see big shopping malls anymore

Marley died because the rent is high, and stores can't afford it, especially now with Arundel Mills 10 mins away. As a 90's Mall Goth, i know for 1 it was going downhill when Hechts left, then 1 by 1 stores left. The Wall, Record Town, EB Games, Payless, A&W restaurant (I worked there), CVS, so many stores came and gone from that mall. and i experienced its decay into the ghost town it is today. and it started by pushing the Teens out the mall on Friday Nights... So what we took over, we kept a lot of those smaller, non-department stores afloat.

Crime has taken its toll on malls. Everyone used to shop in the city shopping district until it was no longer safe. Why go to a mall?....hang out with teenage thugs that no one can control. Much like modern day food deserts crime does not discriminate it takes down everything and everybody. Next time you see the neighborhood single Mom give a shout out to them for me.
