I've been trying to figure out what to do with music for a while. I'm thinking now maybe I could use it to let go. I thought she was the one, my home. Melatonin still doesn't work 6 years later, they've been replaced with prescribed Quetiapine. Tear ducts have dried, no time to feel that pain. Life moves on so I should too right? Well why do I still need her? Living through the shadow of us. Almost gave up so many times. Why am I stuck with this pain and damage and she's able to get married, finish uni and have a kid. All things we said we'd do together. Maybe she's just a liar. Should i hate her for it? Haven't given my heart to any girl since. I just want to be free. I want to continue to fill the void. Time does it well. Everyday i forget her more and more. Some days it's like it was yesterday and I'm back by the river, finding out it's over, just like that. 6 years later I'm a shell, a memory of who I was trying to be realised again. In 10 years I'll probably be fine. And look back on it with fondness. I look forward to those days. For now it's the grind. To become the person I want to be. To live a life independently, and let change be. Like I said, let go. She's gone and it's okay. Life does go on. We might take a while to put our heart back together, but I believe God works in mysterious ways, and given enough time, anything's possible. When one dream ends, another begins. And so it goes.
