I really like this series. Very well written and narrated. My only problem with this series is that the books don't seem to have an ending, they just sort of "stop". For instance, in book three Balista is proclaimed Augustus, travels to Palmyra and then just "quits" . his job as Augustus. WTF??? Then, this book starts with Balisra hundreds of miles away in Ephesus during an earthquake. WTF??? How did he get all the way from Palmyra to just hanging around in Ephesus???
