Personally 3 was worse than this.

Romulus is the worst. The second worst is covenant. Romulus steals from the other films, even direct quotes. Covenant was confused on if it wanted to be an alien prequel or paradise lost. Resurrection at least gave some new aspects of the universe, and it stuck to the campy weird french style from beginning to end.

It's definitely not a bad movie, actually the idea of a humanoid version of the alien even names sense, considering how the alien species adapts their genetics quickly in also in other movies. Prometheus was the "worst" alien movie for me, the only one I frisky found myself being bored at times. Probably it's a matter of taste, but I was happy they didn't just repeat the same recipe of the first three movies, but dared to ruffle some feathers with hardcore alien fans. You will always get a fair amount of hate when you do something very different.

I disagree. Resurrection is waaaay better than boring and Pointless 3rd installment. I am a fan. It is a bit corny, has some total horror and suspense. Oh .. plus it has a basketball scene AND Winona! ❤🎉

I agree 100%, "Resurrection" IS THE worst Alien movie. It's ridiculous and feels like someone made a comedic parody of "Aliens". The New Born idea was just flat out terrible. People rail on "Alien 3" but that movie at least felt tonally in line with the first two. I also think it's Sigourney's best performance as Ripley...and I told her so in person when I met her. BTW, she is indeed tall. People just hate that movie because it ends their favorite characters, but it's a well done movie. "Resurrection" on the other hand is just hot garbage. I can't even take it seriously.
