Homemade Lolita Wardrobe Tour!
A little tour of my mostly homemade lolita fashion wardrobe. I've spent the last couple years getting really into lolita, and spending most of my spare time sewing fun frilly dresses for myself. I think I lost the footage of one of my jsks, but thats ok because I have a whole other video about that one.

Making some Fancy Pants/Bloomers by Pattern Hacking
Переглядів 697Рік тому
In which I take 2 months to complete a project that should take 2 days. Basically I modified an existing pants pattern into a pair of bloomers. I may have over complicated this one a little bit, and had some technical issues along the way, but it all turned out well in the end! I told my mom I was working on a pair of bright red bloomers and she said "I don't think you would want them in that c...
Lengthening a Tiered Dress (lolita alterations)
Переглядів 7202 роки тому
More of a sewing vlog this time, I had to alter this dress a bit, so I figured why not film it as well! I was in a bit of a rush so I cut every corner I could, and everything turned out great. Let this be a lesson that sometimes perfection (or even carefulness) is unnecessary.
Parasol Sewing Tutorial
Переглядів 11 тис.2 роки тому
Come join me in the world of making parasols, and keep the sun off you while looking fancy! I love making these things. This is actually the ninth or tenth one I've made I think? I use them with historical inspired and alternative fashion, and given them as gifts. I made one for all the members of a bridal party a few years ago. They're pretty quick, and can be made for really cheap with stuff ...
Witch Hat Tutorial
Переглядів 37 тис.3 роки тому
Join me as I make this very cottage core witch hat, and you too can live the dream of making a giant pointy hat to go with every outfit you own! Or maybe just the dream of dressing up as a witch for halloween. These hats only usually take me a few hours to make, so you could easily make yourself one in time for the spooky season. I mean even though no one is going to go out this year, it doesn'...

    I love seeing handmade lolita stuff, it's always so unique! Thanks for sharing ^__^ Honestly, I love that blue striped OP...tempted to try and make something similar! The chevrons really make it just the right amount of extra. Haha the denim JSK is so cool! Love how at a glance, it's just a dress but then you see the jean-ness. Maybe it's an odd piece to focus on but the apron is gorgeous. Again, inspiring me to maybe eventually sew one myself lol. You should be proud of your insertion lace, it looks amazing! Nice to know that patterns from Miss Carol Belle are good too.

      @FelicitasSews Рік тому

      thank you!!! I'd love to see your pieces if you do end up making any of those! for miss carol bells patterns I should give the caveat I guess that most of them don't really have instructions. so depending on your confidence level in construction that may or may not be an issue

      @HerRoliness Рік тому

      @@FelicitasSews If I do manage any sewing there's a good chance it'll end up on my channel lol. And thanks for the heads up re. the patterns...I tend to ignore instructions anyway (possibly why things sometimes don't turn out!) so that's fine ^__^

    ah I like the blue, and I like the fact you made it yourself, not everyone can do that anymore, where sewing and making were once ubiquitous skills for ladies young and old and guys too were tailors, now its very hard to find one, let alone make from scratch clothing from fabric and pattern, your stuff looks kind of simple but well made not too buissy or garish, looks like something actually from back in the day from the period lolita and the like fashion is supposed to try to emulate from old western fashion. I cant really sew to save my life cept for putting on a button, if I can thread the needle, but woodworking I have been around since the age of 6, and I can sometimes impress myself with some of the small detail paintings on things I have done on props for cosplay, I like the stainglass prints as well, we have windows in that style the bavarian stain glass style in the local Cathedral of the diocese, its one of two churches in the area that have stainglass from the royal institute of munic in bavaria, one is lutheran though, and like the blue one at 10:10 and the gothic like one after. something to be said of something well made by your own hands, though when I first ran across the style in things japanese there were more out there that made their own stuff espcially acessories since not much was available 12 years ago ish

    • @FelicitasSews
      @FelicitasSews Рік тому

      thank you! I agree, I think it's good to have a hobby/skill where you can make things with your own hands, whatever that may be.
