I'm looking after my neighbors house while they're away and noticed their faucet wouldn't swivel when I went to water the plants. Thought I'd spend a few minutes surfing the net to see if there was a simple solution and found your excellent video with the identical faucet right out of the gate. In addition to soap and water, I used some vinegar to break down the calcium buildup that was present. Thank you for sharing

Great video, thank you for sharing this! I didn't have the exact faucet, but its a kohler and looks very similar. And it was JAMMED up, didnt want to turn. Took the handle off, and as i was unscrewing the top cap, water started to come out...not good. So, i went to plan B! I actually keep a dropper bottle full of water and baking soda, for when i need to clean electronic corrosion off batteries...decided to flood the rim with this solution, and to my utter amazement...it started to be able to turn a little! So, dropped more in, worked it more, and it loosened up more and more as i worked it back and fourth. Then i dribbled some 3-in-1 oil along the rim, and as i worked it back and forth more, it loosened up even more. Now it works pretty close to where it should be, just a touch stiffer than new but useable. Anyway, this is what worked for me...but, your video was invaluable in figuring out exactly what to do! Even though i took a slightly different approach. Thanks again!

great video, I wasn't getting noise but a errorcode 4-3. (see other vids on how to get error code). so I cleaned out the disposal and found some hard plastic, that i think broke off from other parts of the dish rack :(. I manually spun the motor from above as well as the impeller cutter you showed. put it back to gether and it has at least started a test washing..... wish me luck. Thank you.

Thanks. I thought I needed to buy a replacement dish washer, but 4 hours of cleaning did the trick. The filter had never been maintained over the 15 years I have owned the machine. Who knew? There was slime in all the passageways. It was brutal getting it all out, best I could. I can't imagine many home owners doing what all is required here. Some, but not many.

Hi DYI, any idea where one can buy replacement button valve springs and/or spray nozzles of the one you have above? I have repaired 2 of these sprayers by stretching the springs but in our complex we have over 100 identical faucets that will need to be serviced going forward. Thank you in advance!

Thank you for posting it gave me the confidence to pull harder to remove the bottom cover. Of notee, some models you can remove the filter screen from the base by inserting gently prying all around the plastic on the screen edge. It comes off like a snug cottage cheese lid. There is only a slight lip..

Thanks for a great video that saved my weekend! This was on my task list when my wife was out of town for the weekend, and we were fed up with the sprayer mode splashing water everywhere. I followed your steps, and they helped me get mine apart. The buttons on mine were a little different, and the little cartridge cylinder was a little trickier to remove and access the spring, but I never would have made it that far without your clear and detailed video!

Wonderful video and I'm in the middle of cleaning mine right now after it started making loud sounds. I have removed so many little pieces of broken plates, lemon and grapefruit seeds, chunks of plastic and straws, wads of lint, and other debris that was blocking the flow but I cannot for the life of me get the blade cover off. It's that very last cover that you are using the pick tool on to pull it up. For some reason mine just will not budge or lift up. Do you have any advice or tips? Edit: nevermind. I got my utility knife out and ran it down along the entire seal where that cover seats against the main housing. It was caked with detergent residue. I cut through it and then was able to remove it. It's unbelievable how much residue and debris was in here. Three blade gear was completely wound up with lint, too, which was preventing it from spinning. Now that it's all cleaned out I can't wait to reassemble everything and run it! It should be like brand new! 😅 LOL
