The channel shows videos of trips through South America. Since 2017 we have explored the continent with a 4x4 expedition vehicle MAN/UNICAT MD48 from Tierra del Fuego to Colombia. In particular, its fascinating natural landscapes were of interest to us.
Special thanks go to my wife Ulla, who mostly directed the MAN while I was filming with the drone.

In the Pan de Azúcar National Park in Chile there is a fascinating toilet with a panoramic view near Las Lomitas. 800 m above the Pacific you have a clear view of New Zealand ;-) The water on site is combed from the clouds of the Camanchaca. I don't know anything comparable.

We like to drink some good wine, and Argentina and Chile are a paradise for us. If you also like wine and come to the north of Argentina, don't miss the Cafayate and Cachi wineries. They are amazing. The Bodega Colomé is very special, it is at the end of the world. The wines are excellent. And they have an Art Museum which is spectacular.
Puna de Atacama

From the Salinas Grandes to the Campo de Piedra Pómez. The video shows one of the most beautiful tours over the Puna de Atacama in ten minutes. The landscape of the high desert is breathtaking. In order to reach all the places in the film, you have to cover about 800 km of unpaved roads. No place is lower than 3300 m above sea level. The highest point is Mina Julia at 5200 m.
Paso San Francisco

One of the most beautiful routes through the Puna of South America leads over the 4726 m high Paso San Francisco. It runs from Copiapó in Chile to Fiambalá in Argentina. In Chile you drive on the CH-31, in Argentina on the Ruta Nacional 60. Those who visit the region should not miss the route.
Volcán Lonquimay

Lonquimay is a 2.865 m high active stratovolcano east of Curacautín in southern Chile. The landscape around him looks as if the volcano just recently erupted. It conveys a real "volcano feeling". The last eruption took place in 1998/1999 and lasted a year. A visit here is very worthwhile.
The Calluqueo Glacier

The Calluqueo Glacier is located 50 km south of Cochrane in Chile's Patagonia. It comes down from the 3700 m high Cerro San Lorenzo. Like most of the glaciers in Patagonia it is melting rapidly. But the scenery ist still fantastic. The unpaved road the the glacier and the lagoon ist well maintained. So it is not a problem to got there.

Muy atractivo el norte de Chile

I haven't had any problems so far. But the car should be in good condition. I haven't published the route on Wikloc. You can see it in these three videos: Puna de Atacama, Route of the Lagoons and Salar de Uyuni.

Which month and what time of the Day did you guys arrive there?
The footage of the trip to the lagoon was taken on the afternoon of February 23, 2022. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. The other shots were taken the next morning. The photos I used are from February 2018. Best regards

Si el pueblo chileno no tiene cuidado, los mineros de litio destruirán todos los lugares hermosos de la Puna. Hoy, por cada salar y cada laguna, hay una empresa que dice tener los derechos para explotarla. El Estado probablemente no ayudará. Es lo mismo en Argentina. Es una pena la maravillosa Puna de Atacama.

Thank You. I don‘t think the Bodega allows overnight parking. But I think it would be no problem to find a place nearby. We stood in Molinos, they have a very nice camping. But it is around 15 km away. Don‘t forget to make a reservation for the bodega online!

Hola, estoy mirando todos los videos para planificar mi viaje en 2024 desde Uruguay. Algunos lugares seran complicados porque ire en auto.... Para llegar a esta laguna, por donde fueron ? cual es la ciudad mas cerca. gracias !!, muy buenos videos
Hola, haces una pregunta muy difícil. De todos los lugares que muestran mis videos, las Lagunas Bravas son las de más difícil acceso. Los últimos 80 km hasta las lagunas son un sendero muy pequeño que sube a más de 5000 m. Ella no es atendida. ¡Aquí no conoces gente! Lo mejor es ir con dos coches. Al menos uno debería tener un teléfono satelital para emergencias. Necesitas un vehículo todoterreno 4x4 estable. Si el coche se avería, tienes un gran problema. Desde las lagunas hay 350 km hasta Copiapó y 205 km hasta El Salvador. Se debe tener experiencia en recorridos por el desierto alto y tener mucho cuidado. La laguna está al este del Salar de Pedernales. La ruta es difícil de describir. Pero puedes encontrarlos en buenas aplicaciones de mapas. Yo uso GuruMaps, donde se dibuja principalmente. Pero piénselo dos veces antes de arriesgarse.
