Thank you for watching my latest videos.
I am Wendi from West Yorkshire, I have had my allotment since June 2021, after waiting 7 years.
I have always loved the great outdoors, I have grown flowers and vegetables for some years now. When I got my allotment, I knew then I was going to try and grow on a bigger scale. I am hoping to grow all different kinds of vegetables and flowers on the plot.
On this channel you might also see; Roger the dog, the cats Purdy and Doyle and the Chickens; Heather, Karen and Barbara. I have rescued all of them along the years.

It's been a very sad week at the plot this week, I have lost two of my chickens. I only have Karen left, just hope she is ok, she's been with the flock for the last 8-9 years.

Ah she’s so happy there Wendi. It was lovely the other day I was in a tshirt gardening. Today it started out nice but it’s pouring now. Yes they can talk like old ladies across the fence 😂😂. I have a Milwaukee battery drill well because all Gerald’s tools are Milwaukee and he loves them. The batteries are interchangeable too 👍. Good job, have a great day Wendi, Ali 🌞☔️🇨🇦

Hello Ali, It’s pouring it down now.. The bulbs was a surprise, just hope they come up..fingers crossed. I do try to fix things but end up with that screw left over, and not knowing where it come from haha.😁
Absolutely pouring here today but we are ok with that as we definitely needed it. 😂😂 Karen self seeding tomatoes all around. Good to see bulbs coming up it’s gives us a view of spring. Morning Wendi, we too finally have rain here and it’s cold so this woos is hiding in the house. 0:48 looks like comfrey it’s great for fertilizer. Karen get out of that bed 😂😂. I have one last party pan in the ground I doubt will come to anything but I felt bad taking it out 😮 it has a 1” squash. It’s all about clearing up and making plans and I for one love this time. It was a nice surprise to see the frog, I have had a pond on the plot for over 2 years but seeing that little fella in that small container was nice, just so glad I saw it before I started strimming in that area.😊 The microphone was what I had before just a different sim, it sounded loads better, thank you.😊
Always lots of wildlife on plots ,my grandson Peanut, loves finding frogs 😂😂 the new mic setup is working well 🎤 😂👍

You have certainly been blessed with some sunny days Wendi 🌞. It started out super cool and foggy here but then warmed up again. The cauliflower is pretty amazing so many people struggle with them including me. How are your seedling flowers doing? Here’s hoping you have a super week and sunny days, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦
Hello Ali, We have had some cold weather and this week is set to be good, then I think it’s down hill from then on. I am going to do a little update on the seedlings tomorrow, they are doing quite well thank you. I am sorry to here on your last video about them baby rabbits❤ I am going to put some of my sprouts in pots that’s a good idea😊 I am surprised about the cauliflowers, this year has been my year..thank you.🙂
I like the cauliflowers I always struggle to get a nice one ,maybe next year 😂😂 I would have a word with your chooks they have missed the slugs on your brassicas 😂😂👍
Thank you,Yes I am surprised they have grown first time this year never had any luck before. My chicken isn’t allowed in the brassica cage..even though she sneak in on this video 😊 I did have 3 chickens up to a couple of weeks ago, I am down to one now Karen the chicken😊

😂 never bored Wendi. Will you get her more companions so she doesn’t get lonely. We don’t want chickens because yes they are a lot of work but fun too. Beans do look amazing,mi love beans but not runner or rubber 😂 as I call them. Too funny I’ve never seen volunteer corn 🌽. Excellent harvests Wendi good job. Have a super day, Ali 🌧️🌞🇨🇦
Hello Ali, Thank you, I wouldn’t want to put any more chickens with her the pecking order isn’t very pleasant to see, especially with her been so old. I do feel sorry for her with her been on her own, there is other chickens just opposite her, and she can here them. They are a lot of work and I want to do things they tie you down. The pepper was a very pleasant surprise.😊
Absolutely not, I buy plug plants for my brussel sprouts as I have crap luck with them. It’s only cheating if you tell people you grew them yourself 🤣. It’s awful what they get away with putting in compost 🤬🤬. Have a love,y week ahead Wendi, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
Good Evening Ali, I brought vegetables from the garden centre this year has I was late putting veg in, I did grow some myself😊 I have ordered some winter bulb veg, I am going to try and grow some elephant garlic this year.I think I will go to garden centre for some winter veg plug plants, it’s a bit early at the moment. Hope you have a good week too.😊

You had me subbed at chickens re microphone I bought 1 from Temu not good if your using an android phone try downloading the my camera app and video with that and horse manure make sure that no weed killer has been used in the field happy gardening Richardx
I have a iPhone, the microphone was great but I upgraded to another phone, never even thought my microphone wasn’t compatible.🤦🏼♀️

Hello Ali, Yes your not wrong about phones, I always get my daughters old phone had the last one some years. The old style phones are probably the better ones these days😊 I am going to get a camera for the allotment they seem really scared of late do the chickens. I don’t think I’ll get big Max pumpkins this year( not to worry) Have a great wkend..😊
Oh lord we were just talking about how expensive phones are 🤦♀️ Gerald still uses an old fashion flip phone 😂😂. I think the chickens 🐓 will be much happier you did them proud Wendi. That cat that was sat outside on the windowsill, is a big Boy, lovely Cat though. I have been feeding him(I know I shouldn't ) but I do feeling sorry for him.

Hello Ali, I do talk to the girls( chickens).. and some times they talk back haha. I am surprised about the cauliflowers not very big but at least they grew, after the weather and the slugs this year. We due some good weather fingers crossed. Hope your vegetables are growing well.😊

You can take french beans at a very small size and they freeze easily after cutting in to pieces .No blanching needed 🙂

Oh lord Wendi that wind can be a very brutal thing, we get super high winds here mostly in Oct and Nov. Poor tomatoes 🍅 it hopefully they will be ok. They will ripen at home if need be, my nana used to wrap hers in newspaper, in a cool place and just check them daily or every other day. Hope the weekend is calmer, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦
Hello Ali, I was listening to the wind earlier this morning and I was thinking about my plot, I was surprised there wasn’t a lot more damage. I will try the newspaper on the Toms thank you, they are a fair size shame if they don’t go red. We just don’t know what sort of weather we are going to get any where in the world now, with the Climate changing. Hope you have a lovely wkend😊
Hello Ali, I aren’t tech savvy, I have surprised myself I can get these videos on to UA-cam.😊 I don’t know what happened to my sound,in the middle of my video. I don’t mind my chickens eating my veg, if you had seen the state of them when I got them, I did have 5 but unfortunately 2 of them past. We are due some bad weather the wind is coming,it causes so much damage.
Ah but they’re so cute 🐓🐓🐓. None of my tomatoes 🍅 well the big ones are ripe yet. And it’s been super sunny and hot here for weeks 🤷♀️. We had a bit of a quick storm last weekend but now just sprinkles and mid 20’s. Fab update Wendi have a great weekend, Ali ☔️🌞🇨🇦

Hello, No I don’t have a Cockerel, my chickens are quite old, I don’t get any eggs from them now, so they are my pets. If you are having them in your garden you will have to have enough room to house them, and to let them scratch around..they will ruin your lawns so make sure you aren’t bothered about your garden..they do need a lot of space.. l know some people put there chickens in small confined areas, but that’s not fair, that’s why I always let my girls( chickens) free range.😊
