    No. Wood chips work best with Gas Grills. NOT charcoal grills. Wood CHUNKS are what you want for charcoal grills. They burn longer and give better flavor with the charcoals. You’re wasting time and money using wood chips in charcoal grills because they will flame out quicker than on a gas grill. Also, do yourselves a favor and just invest in a dedicated smoker box. The makeshift tin foil/aluminum tray stuff are inefficient and not practical at all. Yeah they’re good for having a “smoker” in a pinch. But as a permanent solution? Absolutely not. Just go buy a dedicated smoker box.

    I'm a hardcore charcoal griller. I have only been using Weber Kettles for about 15 years and running. Cowboy briquettes are one of the best. Unless things have changed, however, Cowboy lump sucks.

    I never add condiments to the bottom bun, I like to place the burger on the bottom and let the juices soak the bun for better flavor.

    I like how he burned them at the end and just covered it up with more Q sauce... lol Backyard dad grilling secret 101 right there. LOL the real secret is to babysit them and move them off the heat until done and then sear them on the coals.
