Opening Roads

Before opening @lioncampzambia1081 for the season, we have to open the roads. First is the scouting, chgecking for any stumps that might destroy equipment , deep muddy areas that might cause delays, and then the work begins. The scouting is definitely the most fun. @wildmanadventures

Amazing video Wayne!
Hey hey @@TamaraGuijt thank you so much!😃😃🦁🦁
Болото не поделили😮😮😮
Сильная засуха в стране приводит к уменьшению водных источников, и концентрация бегемотов становится всё больше, что приводит к всё более частым дракам между более крупными и доминирующими животными.
Thanks for the step-by-step guide. Super useful!
Hi Wayne hope you are well? Quick question we are looking to come back to Lion Camp and bring some friends as well. Looking at either June / July or October (we came in October last time). What do you think is the better time to come? Thanks Paul
Hey Paul, both periods have their benefits. June/July is still early season, so there is normally still plenty of water and vegetation around although not distracting from the sightings. June/July has its benefits as it is not very hot yet, the morning and evenings are fairly cool requiring a few layers when going out on safari, but the days are fantastic with daytime temperatures ranging between 20°- 25° C and sometimes as high as 30°C. Having been here in October, you surely know the heat, day and night. In my personal experience, I would take the heat option. Yes it is extremely hot with most days going above 40°C, but the animal sightings and game viewing is unrivaled. There is so much wildlife activity that one almost does not realise the heat. And when it does get too hot, there is always a nice cool pool to shed some heat, and a barman ready to assist in slaking the inevitable thirst! Hope this helps, and see you soon. Until then, stay safe and catch you on the flip side!!!
Prepare to be amazed by the wonders of the animal kingdom! 🦁🦛🦒 This video is a spectacular showcase featuring lions, hippos, giraffes, and many more incredible wildlife species. Experience the beauty, power, and grace of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitats. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, nature lover, or just looking for an awe-inspiring adventure, this video is a must-watch! Don't miss out on this thrilling wildlife extravaganza! #Wildlife #Nature #Lions #Hippos #Giraffes #AnimalKingdom
Thanks Wayne - some great video and as always Lion Camp doesn't disappoint. Hope to get back there in a little while
Glad you enjoyed!! You know where we are when you're ready to travel. 😎😎😎
You’re telling me it’s too dangerous to rub its belly? When it looks so friendly
You can always try, only once though!!🤣🤣🤣
its cute, super happy Hippo❤😊❤
Thats so cute, I didn't know hippos actually roll around in the water, they are so big. 😊
Great job! This video really helped me out. Thanks!
Thank you, friend! If my videos help only one person, I feel I have done a great thing!!👍👍
Brilliant Wayne. Thank you. A must get to place ☕️
They look like a school of fish. Must work on the same principles so they don't crash into each other.
It is amazing to see how they move and not bump into each other!! Totally choreographed!!
Loved the nightjar at the beginning..and love how the morning builds with the sightings birdsong...Gentle atmospheric Luangwa life
Lovely views so typical of Puku and Impala...with the mature trees and dambo
Love the birdsong and calls in the Video..stirs the memories
Great video Wayne....hope one day to return to Luangwa for the 4th time....walking will be an important part...in some of the remoter areas. Simon Artley Manchester UK
Love the video...thanks Wayne
Love this video! One question - What's the status of Wayne vs. Squirrels? :) We had the best time last week at Lion Camp thanks to Wayne, Vicky, Oscar, Makupa, Dottie and all the others. If you ever get the chance GO!
Hi Tracey, Wayne 6 - Squirrels 10, I'm closing the gap! 🤣🤣🤣 It was great having you guys here! 🦁🦁🦁
Great to see a wayneinthewild video again 👍🏻 Glad to hear Lion Camp’s busy. Keep the videos coming, we enjoy them very much😁
Great video! Can feel the quiteness almost as if I was there. Back in november 2002 I saw my first wild lions close to lions camp. What an amaizing place! Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you so much for the comment!! 2002 was a long very long time ago, you need to come visit again and refresh that feeling!!😃🦁🦁🦁
Lol I had to giggle when I saw this now. I was honestly not expecting that Vicky.
Beautifull video! Maybee even better without music...
Thank you for that, I was very much in two minds to add the music. definitely a NO NO going forward.
Thank you! Personally I prefer your style of video then these days nature film with a lot of music and drama. Much better to se the wild as it is with the original soundtrack.
Amayzing video! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Thank you so much!
What beautiful housing with picturesque walkways. I hope you train many many guides and rangers for the love of preserving these creatures and their natutal homes.
Had an absolutely amazing time at Lion Camp. An experience that felt like every day was a day from a National Geographic wildlife documentary. The dining area is very inviting offering a wonderful view of the wildlife by day and an almost tangible mystic night sky accompanied by tranquil sounds of the African bush. The cuisine was nothing short of excellent satisfying both the creative and traditional palate. Attention to detail is most noticeable leaving one feeling not only welcome but very much appreciated for time spent at Lion Camp. Commendable, Vicky, Wayne and team for an out of this world African Safari experience.
Epic stuff as always boet
