    This solution seems incorrect. Check the middle bottom one. 1 1 2 0 1 0 1 3 0 According to stated logic it should be: X X 0 0 X 0 X X 0 But is: X 0 0 0 X 0 X X 0

  • @muzicmaster8
    @muzicmaster8 7 років тому

    each overlapping black square has an antagonist effect. First one = balck. Second one = turns white. Another one (the third one) = goes black again. Most likely the logic used So odd number of overlapping black squares = black, even number of overlapping black squares = white.

    Hey, how does the top middle square only have 3 shaded boxes? Shouldn't there be 4 (looking at the middle top box alone, it should have shaded boxes in the positions shown, as well as top right hand corner)?

    I understand the fault in my assumption which saw the blue box "wrap" around to the other side of the white box. BUT, how can the second -2 part of our deduced pattern extend to a 4th position that doesn't exist? In the third image of our sequence we're given 3 boxes in 3 different positions. If we -2 from #4 in our blue and white map, you showed the blue box move past #3 and into a totally new column which didn't apply/wasn't used in our +1,-1 pattern of the black and white map. I don't understand how we can assume there to be 4 possible positions for the boxes when it wasn't exhibited in the sequence and in our consequent deductions of map 1. Hopefully this can be explained and that my question made sense. A part from the last minute or so, the problem was explained clearly and I enjoyed watching. Thank you!

      In the UMAT you will actually get the possible answers in a multiple choice format. so if you see that one of the answers has a 4th position then you can assume that position is valid
