I have both FDM and resin printer, but 98% of time I am printing with FDM. Firstly, no smell from toxic resin, secondly, plastics are much better than resins for real life usage, thirdly, I hate the fact that you cannot see your print failure in resin printer as the model is inside the resin, so maybe it's even not printing as the first layer did not stick, for FDM you can see it anytime. I also experienced much higher warping in resin printer. There are two advantages of resin printers - high detailing and faster speed, however at the moment also FDM printers are improving in this aspect, fast speed printers and materials are available now, IDEX solutions etc. So I still use resin printer for small models with high detailing need, but I always feel fucked when I need to print with resin, so messy, smelly, need washing (many resins in isopropyl spirit, then curing). If you need to print many small parts, then resin could work, but in real life the main purpose of 3D printers are prototypes or exclusive models, so you actually do not need to print a lot of models at the same time.

Imagine watching a 3d printed movie at the cinema! Each movie scene and characters are 3d printed in real-time so that motion is made. The background of the movie would be on high-definition screens on the walls, ceiling of the cinema. The central focused part of the movie would be 3d printed instantaneously. For example, you hear the sound of a stagecoach arriving to your left. Looking towards the left of the cinema, you see a stagecoach being pulled by two horses whose heads are 3d printed first ax it moves from the left hd screen on the wall to 3d printed form. Then the body of the horses are 3d printed along with the stagecoach in real-time before your very eyes. The variables of the movie scene are 3d printed instantaneously giving motion to the horses and stagecoach. What is appears in 3d, while what was 3d printed but not needed anymore disappears. What is appears as what was disappears. 🎥
