Bringing you the best in Japanese Jazz Fusion from the 1970s to today!
Since the late 1970s, I've been listening to jazz fusion recordings from Japan. It started with Sadao Watanabe, Toshiyuki Honda and Hiroshi Fukumura. Since then I've added 100s of artists to my playlist, including Native Son, Casiopea, Ryo Kawasaki, Naniwa Express, Kazumi Watanabe, Yoshiaki Masuo, Mikio Masuda, Yuji Toriyama, Kenji Omura and Mitsuru Sutoh.

Love it!!!!!!!!!
A little more up tempo for Keiko and really nice
This was awesome!
I agree. It's a great track
All these gems you upload, my friend. You're the best! 👌❤️
Glad you like them! I’ll keep searching for hidden treasures
この曲のギターソロめちゃ好き こんな風に弾けたらなぁ〜
More pop than jazz fusion…
The other tracks from the album are more jazz fusion-oriented though, but this track wasn't on UA-cam so he kindly put it online after I asked :)
If you have it could you please upload the eponymous track of this album, Fiesta Fiesta, I can't find it anywhere and it's the only track from the album that's not avaible at all online :'( Thanks !
My pleasure. I've just uploaded it here ua-cam.com/video/eoSJQlAyMwc/v-deo.html
@@JapaneseJ-Fusion Thank you so much ! You're the best !
Very nice. 😊
This is truly some legendary jazz here
Brilliant is too weak a word for this cat. I'd love to know what he is doing these days in 2024. Thank you for letting us hear this wonderful music.
Yes, he is pretty awesome. I'm not sure what he's doing these days. The last time I heard of him was as the keyboard player with Sergio Mendes in 2006. However, he also goes by the alias of Carlos Del Rosario, and crops up as a recording engineer from time to time.
@@JapaneseJ-Fusion Thank you for the info! Yes, and he is so under rated. The album "De Novo" featuring the seemingly 'once only' L.A. Transit, is really all down to him, although he has some top musos on board. My main interest is solo piano, and on the end of the album "Another Sun" he plays a beautiful piece called "Dolphine" which is mainly piano. It is utterly sublime. I rarely hear anything as beautiful as that. I would love to be able convey my appreciation to him. Thanks again!
the original swoonwalk??
1:21 a nice tribute to Continuum (Jaco) by Ken here 🐐🤍🐐
Nicely spotted!
how much to have the rest of the album uploaded????

That electric violin hell yes
Who is the Drummer?Senri?is Senri's Groove
There were two drummers used on the album - Makoto Takada and Duck Infinity. Unfortunately, I don't have a breakdown per track to say who was on this track.
@@JapaneseJ-Fusion Thanks for information
konichiwa i love you
Que cosa más bonita y más bien hecha, solo empezar ya me ha cautivado 🎉
Groovy
雨のル・マンの夕暮れにピッタリ!
i'm fuckin' groovin' rn
Sugoi! Arigato gozaimasu!
Díky!
Thank you!
I tried to upload the rest of album because I can't find it anywhere on here and they took it down :(
That's why I only upload a single track despite having the full album. They are quick to take down your channel if you don't follow the rules.
@@JapaneseJ-Fusion yeah that stinks because I wanted to be able to slow the songs down so I could learn the solos and stuff but you can’t do that on Spotify/Apple Music
never fails to impress me of how you're able to find these wonderful tracks
I admit to having a very big collection!
Does anyone have a link to download this album? It's amazing.
🍷
Both Gary and Dave put a lot of effort and care into their performances for this album. Kiyomi played and arranged with her life for this album as well. I'm sure this is a one of her best products. I'm so sorry that a lot of people don't know about this album. Thanks for tracking this product. Now she's released a new album with Jiro Okada(bass) and Yoichiro Yamauchi(drums).
This song is very groovy though i can't find the whole album
yo where did you get the thumbnail/background pic? A copy of the "original" CDs of the first 5 himiko albums with the OBI strip is extremely rare for some reason, I've gotten my hands on 2 of them without the obi. Also a copy of this particular CD is really rare in general. Anyways, cool vid
Akira Wada and Kozo Suganuma being a part of the same band is kind of like a dream come true for me. Some of my favorite musicians ever.
Love anything involving Koichi Yabori. Not too surprised to see Jiro Okada here as well, the two of them play together pretty frequently from what I can tell.
Nice jazz
Such clean notes a real professional 👍
Yes, I agree. So easy to listen to
Hi,Its a so great song. I want to know do you have the guitar tab?
Unfortunately, I don't have the guitar tab, but I hope one of my subscribers might be able to help you.
I came from The Breeze on WQNA
Great, didn't know the exact name of this project and been looking everywhere for this yor years. THANK YOU! =)
Glad you found it and enjoyed it!
Great song, a question for everybody, what’s your favourite Prism album?
do u have any other songs like that ?
Wow. Excellent.
Thanx Tanja Brboric.🍻
amazing!
say gex
where do you find all these songs?
I've been listening to and collecting Japanese jazz since the 1970s. I recently decided it was time to share my passion and collection with everyone. I hope you're enjoying it.
yeah i just got into jazz fusion, so finding this channel was great! is there like a website you find these songs or is this just a collection you’ve held to upload for a long time?
@@thathat429 All these tracks are from my collection that I've built up over many years. I have a website that lists most of the Japanese jazz artists and their albums www.japanesejazzfusion.com/
Some Gino Vannelli flavour in the guitar riff
Nicely observed!
