Het laatste jaar dat Spaan zijn A Fabriekskit van Honda nog redelijk was. Een jaar later werd hij afgeserveerd, te oud met bewust slecht materiaal van Honda en ging het beste materiaal bewust naar team Gresini met de jonge Capirosi. Keiharde wereld terwijl Spaan beter verdiende.

I think your comparison of Japan vs China for the import market is way off the mark. I have been in the motorcycle industry for over 60 yrs. First of all Japan has been an ally to the USA China is a freaking communist country, with nothing but hate towards the US lately. I will not and do not support the Chinese govt. For all we know they have placed tracking devices on this stuff. Yea I know you think I’m reaching here, but 10 yrs ago, was China sending secret ballon’s and missiles over the US? If we had done that it would have caused a a military action. I do not like the amount of cheap bike to lure people to buy them. Wait until you cannot get part, or they start over charging for replacements.

Mike Hailwood came to New Zealand to retire in about 1974. Rode in a couple of classic bike races in New Zealand and Australia. Was still retired during his commentary of the Marlboro series in New Zealand December and January 1976 and 1977. He rode a Ducati 750 SS in the 1977 Castrol 6 Hour in Australia and won the 750 class. 1978 off to the Isle of Mann to win the senior TT on a Sports Motorcycles Ducati 900.
