Most of the work is done by two pitch shifter fx on top of each other. One is an octave down, and the other layer is two pitch shifters each an octave down (so that chain comes out -24 steps down). Then a Bitwig distortion, compression, gating, into tilt eq to high shelf the highs. I think there’s a KHS distortion on the end as well.

I enjoy his streams but I haven’t had patience for other long form videos recently. It’s been sort of a problem because I try to keep up with all the Bitwig guys.

there's plenty of that even just limiting yourself to genres that grew out of trap, like plugg, new jazz, and supertrap, generally speaking "there's nothing new" just means you are not looking enough these days

I’m working on some serious stuff so I haven’t let myself download the beta yet. I’m excited about the multi-band aspect. That was next on my serious purchase list.

Quite often the width is too much and I back it up to a flanger. Even though I prefer chorus, it’s usually not needed, we are just distracting ourselves with stereo information this early in the process imo.

@@leo.nordmann Oh yes I use it, I don’t mean it’s actually wrong or bad. I really meant it more as a joke because thats my experience with pedalboards. Obviously there is little right or wrong outside of our desires. I use pedalboard logic as my reference for sound design though. If I were mixing I do like a chorus on a bus.

Wilsonic uses a technology called MTS-ESP and not all plugins are capable of communicating MTS-ESP information. If you go to the company’s website, Oddsound, there should be a list of compatible plugins and those will work with Wilsonic.

I’m glad you enjoyed. You’re right though. I always just grab the main variant and clear it. In this example it doesn’t mean much, but the main variant is also the only version with CV I/O so if you want to use the host CV module that’s how. Bitwig’s hybrid tracks make more outputs a powerful thing imo

What do you think of cardinal compared to vcv rack?

VCV Rack and Cardinal are both a bit overwhelming for me, so I use Cardinal since it’s free. I probably like voltage modular the most because I can focus on core concepts instead of crazy modules. I’m not great with modular stuff really

@@adamarmstrong9408 Cardinal can be used as a VST within your DAW. The free version of VCV cannot. It is standalone only. You need to record audio using the VCV Audio module and then place that audio file into the DAW. The $150 version VCV Pro can be used as a VST. VCV has more access to different module manufacturers.

EVH would run multiple solo improvs in the studio and then listen through and choose the best bits. Then he would learn the solo he spliced together. I think that studio approach is the best way to understand comping
