Dealing with & embracing change // saying goodbye
This video is for me. To make sense of so many feelings & emotions, to connect the past with the present, to gain closure and take myself through this wonderful time in my life.
Swimming has been the ultimate gift of my life, to date.
Creating this video is really helping me close this chapter and find my way through the mist of uncertainty.

    Its good to see people seeing clearly around phone use and broadly the encroachment of the digital life into the fabric of our lives. I was brought up before the smartphone and hyperconnected digital age, and can remember a more meaningfully connected world, or at least it felt that way for me. It does seem that we have an illusion of being more connected but in actual fact we are not, there is a yearning for deeper more meaningful in person connections. I also feel like smartphones have made our communication lazy and we often talk past each other. I almost feel like 2025 is going to be the year of meaningful connection, community, meeting new people, ditching the smartphone and only using a dumbphone a bit like a landline, picking up and checking it once a day or less often for intentional use. Thanks for your post it gives me hope that good people like yourself are finding other more meaningful ways to live. Good luck xxx

    As a Νetwork/CyberSec and Τelecom Εngineer I couldn't agree more with this video. My access to the digital world is limited, it can't be zeroed out obviously because of my career. Life without social networks, without digital devices 27/7 and so on is a different and healthy life that in this day and age for most people is simply unknown. This video is a masterpiece in any possible way.

    I love your balanced approach to living "sugar-free". It's not all or nothing. It's more about health and self love, than restricting yourself. The point you made at the end is really important. You can have a little refined sugar from time to time. The body can definitely handle it. In my opinion UPF is more evil to the health of the human body, than a little table sugar. Good on you!!!

      Hey Nara, if you put the effort in, it does get better. It’s taken me a long while, but I’m finally able to actually relax. Surrounding myself with people who are calmer than me, who know how to relax and take life at a slower pace has helped me tremendously. It’s not something you can “work at” because that’s basically counterproductive. Let yourself be guided and be open to what it brings ☀️

    I have dealt with extreme insulin resistance thank god it didn’t turn to diabetes even though I’m severely underweight…so I decided to go completely cold turkey on sugar not take it in moderation but erase it from my life I swear I’ve never been so calm and happy and not addicted to the dopamine rush….to be boldly honest sugar is a substance with a HIGH addictive side….a very high one too…if we are eating it since we are children we no longer recognize the normal…. I’ll never feed my children any thing related to an addictive compound in the first years of their development

    I've been trying to have a "consistent perfect" practice for years now, but I always end up givin it up because there are days I dont feel like doing it, or than I want to stop in the middle and start my day, and it makes me think that yoga its not for me, that I'm not good enough for yoga, but your sincerity on sharing that this is normal and acceptable made me feel like "dude! You have a consistent practice, just keep going!". Thanks for that

    • @marloesk9753
      @marloesk9753 Місяць тому

      Dude it's a practice, you don't need to be perfectly consistent. Especially since it looks like your a female with our own second cycle. I try to practice everyday but there is nothing consistent about it. Sometimes i show up for 7 min and sometimes 40. I've not practiced now for two weeks because of graduating deadlines. Finally finished and can't wait to get back to it!

    • @BubbleBunnyy
      @BubbleBunnyy 23 дні тому

      There is nothing wrong with days off or it not being consistent. You can have days of doing it for 40 mins and other days doing it for just 10. Days where the yoga is more of a workout, and others just simple yoga poses to stretch out your body and focus on breathing and relaxing. Don’t worry it’s okay 🖤

    Hi Lauren, I'm glad you made a video like this. I also feel this problem and I'm glad that I'm not alone. I had such an interesting question a long time ago and I would be interested in your opinion. As I myself am a creator of videos on the UA-cam platform. So I wonder if I am not creating this addiction for my viewers. I don't want to create this addiction for people. Then I asked myself the question, what is UA-cam for? And my answer was that youtube is a great place to relax, get relief from problems and learn something interesting. But nothing should be overdone. (Sorry for the bad grammar, I don't speak English). ❤

    This is the biggest of dog shit, and you here are actually giving people a self filfilling prophecy and reasons to watch more of it, addiction is not real, the person himself engaged in all konds of activities cause he likes it due to overvaluei g it, he can easily choose to not do any kind of activity by evaluating the reasons properly.

    It's funny how americans say "sugar is everywhere, in everything" I don't think we have that in Europe (ofc still lots of sugar but ingredient based home cooking is much more popular rather than buying packaged premade food)

    • @deefee701

      I've been reading books by Americans. Their food system was altered greatly by several political plans to maximise food production and minimise costs but the result is massive health care costs, huge rates of obesity and illness and poisoning of the food system with chemicals. And yes, sugar or Hugh Fructose corn syrup is one of the top 3 ingredients in all packaged food. It's chilling to see what a country can do to its people in the name of "providing health".
