On the 12th hole and with his lead slipping away, Payne Stewart's tee shot finds a divot in the fairway. Lee Janzen went on to win. Stewart won the U.S. Open the following year at Pinehurst. A few months later (October 25, 1999), he was gone. R.I.P.
