​@@feuerfliegerExactly. We need representation of platonic relationships between MEN which are deep into personal level, but do not turn romantic. I never find one on TV. Even in The Big Bang Theory, the men are kinda joking and being goofy most of the times. The only personal issue they discuss with each other is about women. And when they face non-romantic personal issues, they turn to their spouses, not their friends. Which is not wrong. But, it's not the representation that I meant.

And it almost didn't happen. Tim Minear, the 9-1-1 showrunner, initially wanted to pair Buck with Lucy (a firefighter, Buck's former love interest). However, the actress did not available. So, we had this instead😍.

He understood that perfectly. He didn't say anything that could have potentially outed Buck. However Buck's line about going and finding hot chicks afterwards was so damn cringe and unnecessary and still Tommy didn't react. He is so mature about giving Buck space and time to come to terms with himself. The writing and the acting of everyone is unbelievable. There never was a show where I absolutely loved every single character, but this is the one. I freaking love everyone, even the extras that come and go. The casting director is some kind of a wizard genius.

Tommy understood that Buck wasn't ready to come out to Eddie or to anyone. That's why he left Buck, not because he was insulted or anything like that, but instead to give Buck the time to reassess his own situation and to fully know where he stood in terms of him having a same-sex relationship.

@@homunculi0408 exactly! Thank god the writers decided to pair Buck with a guy that is completely out and doesn't have any sort of hangups about being gay. That would have been so annoying. We've seen that way too many times already. Tommy is just amazing with Buck. I really hope they're endgame. I don't want Buck to get hurt anymore.

I wanna see Eddie and Buck together!! I believe that they have feelings for each other but they didn't' notice yet..Tommy is just a reason to help them (without actually want it and know it) Let's see.. I want a big surprise!

It makes more narrative sense for it to be the other way around. Eddie should have an arc of: • Accidentally takes a powerful drug (EA-3167 would be perfect for the role) • Temporarily loses rationality and sanity • Due to the weaker influence of his Unconscious, his bisexuality surfaces and he hookups with a man/men • Meets the Friend Imposter (friendly entity who appears if under severe psychosis in the appearance of a known friend; presumably a form of the Unconscious). • Friend Imposter talks to him about his life, knowing every detail. Admits to manipulating Eddie. Acts as his therapist. • Realises he is bi, all his relationships with his girlfriends have been extremely shallow (he never seems to really like them as people or companions), and the girls he had feelings for in the past but never realised and asked them out because they weren't stereotypically the hottest ❤‍🔥. So he wasn't "supposed" to fall for them. • Realises he will be happiest in a relationship with his best friend. Though, first, I would like to see Eddie have a villain arc. It is the perfect time with Buck being in a serious relationship, which will make Buck struggle to juggle commitments to his boundary-less friendship and Eddie struggle to find reasons he should matter more than Tommy. Plus, Eddie cheating on his girlfriend. Eddie can spiral into being toxic ☣, hostile, and closed off from his friends. Show off his darker traits. Then, there can be a satisfying redemption arc.
