I attempt another wind chime
I had some copper pipe left over from a water heater install and decided to use what wasn’t going to be used.
I think I did ok but I’m sure I’ll have to upgrade it some to get the full benefit of a wind chime.
It’s been ringing alot today and I’m sure I’ll get more sound out of it since the tropical storm is head around here again

Me and my family went on a mini vacation to Myrtle Beach to see other family members and we went to medieval times.Its always fun to go to these shows and well worth the money.You get a quality show and a meal as well. They want you to arrive a hour early but you don’t have to and the show is usually 2 hours. I been to the Orlando one a few times but this one is the first and all castles aren’t...

    Why not drill pilot holes into the base, and add screws instead of nails? Screws have a stronger grip into the tree stand ground base than nails. 😮

    • @diggingga6197
      @diggingga6197 2 місяці тому

      prob at the time (6 years ago)maybe i didnt have no nails lol..also now all i do when i move it around the yard is just drop the base in a hole and its all set.

    Try soaking each bottle for 8 hrs. Buy a bottle brush at the dollar store to really clean the inside of them. Any bottles with labels on them will easily come off after soaking the bottles for an extended time period. Another easier way to make a bottle tree is to shop and a Salvation Army, Saint Vincent DePaul, or other resale stores, and look for an old artificial Christmas tree. Take the branch material off each tree stem, and place a bottle on them.

    • @rickprusak9326
      @rickprusak9326 2 місяці тому

      Can you use tent stakes to firmly secure your bottle tree base into the ground? Will your bottle tree stand hold up in a thunderstorm with high winds? Hate to see you pick up your fallen tree stand and possibly pick up broken glass after each storm that passes through. 😮

      Sorry been so long Sandi.I think at the time I just used some regular nylon type string.Most of the stuff I had there in the video was stuff I had around available to me.I think even if I had yarn I would have used it lol,though it would deteriorate I still would have went with it.The wind charm later to finally break down from the elements.But I’ll promise you that I will have a new updated video on another soon but with copper instead.I just try to keep things simple.

    Does your region have snow in winter ? perhaps you can grow some Mexican sunflowers for chop and drop. Lots of grasses coming up in your beds, so perhaps some rotten dead material from mexican sunflowers will suppress the grass seeds.

    • @diggingga6197
      @diggingga6197 Рік тому

      No we rarely get snow here in Georgia where I live.The grass I put oak leaf mulch down or grass clippings but most of the time I do a full garden weeding once a week sometimes two weeks so I can pull up what I see.

    The best way to make one hands down old shovels are good spring steel and have a scooping camber built in . a lot make them with no camber out of stainless which are useless , the old shovels or even old plough blades make the best ones.can save your off cuts for a hand digger, weld the two off cuts together with a pipe handle.

    Bro build a big enough fire around the barrel to where the ashes followed the bottom and seal it off at the bottom and leave it overnight shut the oxygen off to it with the ashes in the outside barrel and let it sit overnight and it won't burn up and it'll turn completely to charcoal
