I'm Sally Cox, wife, mother, grandmother, and now a retired teacher. When I'm not visiting with my family, I can often be found in my art studio at home, or in our 5th wheel having fun with paint, paper, scissors, glue, stickers, and other crafty things. Crafting has been in my blood since I can remember. Coloring and creating things from cardboard, paper, material, and odds & ends around the house was my favorite way to play as a child.

I bought the Tim Holtz one for less than $25, so it was cheaper than yours. I dont like yours. Mine has a hinge, it doesn't come apart. Yours it seems like 50-50 that it will stamp the second time, correctly. And yours seem like it will take longer to make multiple cards. I would stick with the Tim Holtz platform. I'd like to see you stamp 20 cards with yours in one hour. I was able to do that on the Tim Holtz.
I think you are correct! From what I’ve seen, the Tim Holtz is better. This one is good enough for me and my tight budget, and I really don’t mass-produce the same card (I might make 4 of a kind occasionally), but if you’re into that, I’d definitely go with a more expensive option. They are pretty fun to do, and they take a lot of the "over-thinking" away for me when I use this method. It's good for when you want to make a set of similar cards.

Thanks Sally very helpful video , Yes definitely get patterned paper first then choose the base and mats. I like the blue mat as well . I love one sheet wonders, I can make so many cards with just a few sheets really helps me with all the charity cards that I do. Thanks again

Hi Margie!! Did you do a Simple Stories set? I haven't been following them much lately. I didn't even know Simple Stories had card kits...I'm not real impressed, but I do like their other things. I just was so surprised with the "paper" backgrounds in this kit, but that was my fault for not thinking about the "no cutting" it says right on the package!! haha! Lessons learned!
@@PaintWithJoy62 we did a Christmas one & we are doing a fall one! Someone gifted me both of them but I kind of feel like you!🤔 As a matter of fact this Saturday is the day we’re doing the fall one! I had a lot of trouble keeping up because Bill wasn’t paying attention to reading the instructions & I struggled getting the full front sheet on the card base! I’m not the best card maker any way!🙄
Margie, your cards are beautiful, so don't be so hard on yourself! It's hard to follow along with a "live" class sometimes anyway, so I'm sure you're not the only one who had a difficult time with it. I'm sure the more you do them the easier it will get.

would this work on stamping title not quite an 1/4 " thick ?
I believe it would because the little magnetic "legs" are also on springs. When you push down, the whole top goes down as far as you need it to go.
