I hope this video helps anyone that is installing homing switches on their CNC machine. Here is the image from the assembly video showing the different ports on the control box:ibb.co/PcZBrv8 Here is a link to the type of wire that I reccomend in the video, usually a quick search on Lowe's or Home Depot's website will turn up something similar. www.homedepot.com/p/Southwire-By-the-Foot-18-2-Gra...

My Husqvarna Saw And My New YouTube Channel!

My Husqvarna Saw And My New UA-cam Channel!
1:50 you’re 100% right. My 460 was night and day after switching to a 20” bar.
Chainsaw mills have come way down in price,a vevor is about $60 on eBay. Grandberg has a unique milling chain where the chain is cut at 10 degrees and every 3rd and 4th tooth is cut in half length wise. This chain allows milling with a less of a cc chainsaw. I like the 460 because of the adjustable oiler, I do not own one yet.
Hey David, I had to subscribe after seeing your comments on the flimsy wiring. Hoping to find more info on upgrade if you have any videos on it. I'm now to your channel. I bought mine about 3 years ago but havent built it as yet because i had 3 other cncs in production but never got the chance to add my MegaV as a forth. I've since sold the other 3 when I sold my woodworking business but kept the MegaV for my personal use one day and that day is now.
Where can someone buy a modded muffler for a 460 Rancher
blades suck.
Some of us bought it FOR the 24" bar!!!!
I've had a 24" & 20" on mine also. I've had mine for 4 years with zero issues of any kind.
I love my 460 too, but I just bought a 550xp mark II which is two pounds lighter and has 10% more power. Now my 460 is just a backup in case a tree falls on my 550 LOL.
Tip, the Husqvarna Titiam line work's the best ! Solid steel core with a tuff overcoating
How much for that saw whit the 24 bar
Good choice of saw. I use this each fall to haul out 27 truck loads of firewood. Mixed - oak, cedar, pinot and pine here on the Navajo rez; no troubles - good saw
Sold! Im ordering one today.
Good video … wanna give it a real test take the guard off and run it longer string … just for some of us commercial guys that run em like that … my Echo Srm266 is pretty good but I’m looking for something else that I can run without a guard and still spins like a top thru that tall grass
if you edge with these trimmers it blows hot exhaust right on your arm and it absolutly can burn you on a hot day. After its been running for 30-45 mins on a 90+ degree day it gets mighty toasty on the exhaust side.
You still like the saw? Long term how’s the thumb throttle? You preferred it over the trigger style? Thanks for the video.
I run a 24 on my 50cc 545 Mark II Husqvarna that thing cuts like a dream got to use good chains and keep them sharp they will not bog down and cutting timber my whole life
I have a 28 on it and I Mill lumber with mine and it pulls just fine I keep the chain sharp and I have no issues
Did your chain tensioner max out on this 460 rancher? Did you put the chain tensioner kit on it?
I have a 455 with a 28'' bar and it will cut all day on 36" diameter trees !!!!
Wow it looks brand new. You got 6 month of use. How you got it look brand new
Let the saw do the work don't be pushing it through things man..
Tractor supply Galt, CA
Lowes has a smoking hot deal on this saw right now $429.00 and 5 year warranty if you buy some husky brand premix.
Wow 429 11 months ago now $619. WTH?!
I beg to differ my friend. This saw is fully capable of milling blue oak hard wood. I guarantee it. Plenty of power but limited to 24 inch bar, however it is capable both vertical and horizontal saw milling. Highly reliable as you said and easy to use. As most saws, cuts like butter with a sharp chain.
You know what's up. Keeping a chain SHARP is the key. The husky 460 is a beast. I paid $429.00 and got a 5 year warranty. I have 8 chains saws 5 Stihl and 3 new huskies. The reason they are new is I finally ran a couple my neighbor has and I was impressed 👍
@mrglock2313 429.oo! where did you purchase?
@@MikeDPlxztc Lowe's. They had a blow out sale. I think they sold out or the sale is over. I bought it not to long ago. Several weeks
@@mrglock2313 yes sorry to bother you I saw your response about Lowe's in another comment👍 I just bought this saw off of Amazon for over $600🤒
@@MikeDPlxztc you are not bothering me and it's worth $600.00 I got lucky for once. You are going to love it. Did you already receive it? If so have you had a chance to use it? It's an awesome saw plenty of power 👍
I noticed the minimum speed on those dewalts are 16,000 RPM, so I have to ask because I have one of these mega Vs in shop. What feed rate are you using and are there 2 flutes on that bit? Just curious, thanks.
What size is this machine?
I just bought one and I noticed after about 10 minutes when I have it running a little black oil seaps through the sides of the muffler. I am using the husqvarna 50:1 premix thats all I have ever ran in it. I have used about 2 tanks so far I hope that is normal for this saw. any comments on my question would be great thanks.
It's an exhaust leak.
It's called spooge by dirt bikers and is completely normal with 2 strokes. Two tanks ? Maybe check the tightness of your muffler bolts.
What size is your machine?
Cant wait to get mine!
Good video, I been considering the 460, my old 455 is good but I'm needing an additional bigger.
What software/ firmware did you download?
If your gonna run the 24" and actually cutting 20" or bigger wood then to go with a skip tooth chain.. it does well.
These instructions are so effing Terrible... I just needed an accurate depiction of the finished product to put it together.
I’ve had the 460 for a year now and probably cut about 6-8 cords and a ton of smaller stuff. I use the 24 inch bar for the big stuff but I have a 20 and 18 inch bar. I mostly keep the 18 inch mounted and it is a powerhouse with that bar on it. I can down some pretty big trees even with that smaller bar just because I have the extra power. Additionally, if feels a little bit safer and of course it is is lighter. Being in my 60s, that makes a difference, when I’m limbing stuff up, I’ll I’ll use the 18 inch for the big branches but for small stuff I just use my axe.
Tractor supply dream saw for the house. We have one and it’s the bees knees. Be careful. It’s a dirt bike engine with a sword attached.
So I am looking at getting a Mega V Full Sheet Router from Millright. I see your video is 2yr's old. Just wondering how you have liked your machine over the last 2 years & how has Millright been for customer service after the sale???
I've had mine for 10 years and have used it a good bit and I've always used a .03 ratio of oil to gasoline instead of the .02 oil to gasoline ratio that Husqvarna recommended I think that has helped fires up real good.
all 3 of the 525's have the xtorq motor thelst is the only one that has the high torque gear head
Toss the Scarlet blade as it will quickly dull, and get the carbide toothed blades for forestry work - just stay away from rocks and metals. For thickets of vines, weeds, smaller (<2" dia) brush/saplings, etc. get the Oregon 3-tooth 295508 universal mulching blade. The shields for shredding and the string cutter are expensive and hard to find in the U.S. The European version of this machine comes with saw blade, shredder blade and string head with the appropriate shields, so I believe the OSHA folks don't want you using the other attachments on this machine.
I run a 460 rancher with a .058 24in bar fitted with a skip tooth chain love it for firewood and trail cutting
Im on a waiting list for a 525lst, they are so popular the dealers cant keep them in stock! nice video.
Thank you so much for demonstrating what you will find in a rural area! Great demo. I am leaning towards the 4-stroke. I'm 65 former metal worker. Just trying to get something with less high pitch sound this time around. Again good demo in high grass, weeds and bramble.
any tips on getting on started?
Wanted the lst. Couldn't find a dealer so went with the lowes 525l. Just .1 horsepower less but I love it so far.
its garbage!
Great review!
Setting this model up in my Tech classroom; have you had any problems with y gear binding and what can you do about it other then what is in the directions?
The fact that it's not feeding at a constant rate and is jittering all the time is probably indicative of communication limitations. What baud rate are you using. Try increasing that and see if it helps. You also might want to take a look at the gcode and see what that looks like. What software did you use to generate the gcode?
Just wondering n during what region in Tennessee you live at I'm 45 min south of Nashville
I’m thinking of upgrading to this from a 450e 20”.
