You can even look at the head of the missile and see the "camera" or "sensor" for the missile. It is an AIM-9B missiles. Some even have semi active radar homing.

Im pretty sure one of the devs after fixing the factory rooftop exploit by tilting the silo, they tiled a lamp post as to not completely ruin the fun. So far, I found only 3 maps where a kill is possible over the windows.
