Great video. We moved into Gig Harbor in early September 2024 so we are still learning the areas. Watched a few of your videos and they are ultra helpful. Keep up the great work ^^ I am across the Purdy bridge about 2 miles up the road just past 94th off Highway 302. Love how peaceful and quiet it is here.

I live in the Orlando area, and I contacted Darren after watching his UA-cam videos. We met in Gig Habor, and Darren showed us around. We found a house we loved, and Darren, as our agent, took us through the process of negotiating the contract to closing. He is a real expert, very knowledgeable about the all aspects representing buyers and sellers. He also has a lot of good contacts in Gig Harbor. I think he is one of the top agents in the area. Nicely done. As a resident of GH the past 11 years, I’ve frequented all of the parks referenced. As a dog lover (and GH is dog friendly), I would add Rotary Bark Park (essentially across and down from McCormick Forest Park. And there’s Tubby’s Park for dog owners, and not far away in nearby Port Orchard are Bandix and Howe dog parks.

I’ll be moving my auto detailing business up there and might expand into boat detailing 😄

Schools are decent, but the issue is that the Peninsula School District has a lot of trouble passing school bonds. That’s because of; A) you need 60% yes for school levies to pass in this state, not simple majority.. and B) SO MANY voters in gig Harbor have their kids in private school, so they have no interest in voting yes for public schools and increasing their own taxes. Also, loved how he subtly mentioned the trail next to the prison.

Hi Darren, Ii first moved to GH in 1983, it was the cute, quaint village town. After decades of growth, it is sad how the city officials grew the town and not the infrastructure. I moved out of state and decided to come back in march 2022 and into the harbor at a 55+ community off the Cushman trail. Which was a huge mistake! I found the traffic, highway noise, emergency vehicle sirens going off all the time and just the overall mood of the town has changed. Traffic is insane, people are not considerate any longer. Expensive? YES! The city charges you for water and sewer service AND they tax you on it, natural gas and electric is extreme. IMO, in order to avoid this, you have to be able to buy a home over $ 1.5 million and live outside of the city. Crime?? I have a close friend with a gift shop in downtown, she said this was the worse shopping season due to inflation and customers tell her they are afraid to come out and shop after dark.

Yes, perhaps a small, senior, duplex or condominium, to purchase….no second floor…from around Gig Harbor up through Port Orchard… My mom lives there in Port Orchard and sister Thank you sir …

Cool vid. Thanks. You almost nailed Fox Island. The population is only 4,000. I have a home on the southern tip of the island. It's exactly 30 minutes to shopping, either grocery or to Home Depot and Costco. The only non-residential development is the post office and a gas station-store. It's a perfect setting. And yes, the view of the sound and Mt. Ranier is stunning!

My wife fell in love with Gig Harbor after we drove through. She says it is a real version of the Gilmore Girls
