a review of my LN47ACF pliers. Had them for 6 or 8 months now. Premium pliers at a premium price... but still not perfect!

Hostery Joey Pouch PRO Review

My thoughts after using this pouch for a couple day. I'm an industrial maintenance technician, so my tasks vary quite a bit. It's been nice just having a dump pouch.

Industrial Maintenance Veto MCT loadout
There's some weird coating on the Fluke lead tips that gives higher resistance. I sanded mine gently with 3000 grit and then they did almost as well as my Probe Masters.
Gives me ideas for my shop. Thanks
I keep my Milwaukee rover light that has a clip on it in that pass through pocket it’s the battery light not the rechargeable
Thank you sir
What kind of keyboard is that?
looks like G512 logitech
Does it measure microfarads?
Yes
Will those fluke leads for a fieldpiece meter?
@@trevmint5615 yep, they should work just fine for 99% of meters out there.
Is that simple green and water 50/50? I heard these don’t like water. Do you have any issues with rust? Really like the idea of this for our shop
Miss your videos man!!
Man, I've been traveling a bunch for work lately! Maybe I'll set some time aside next week to film and edit something! 🤔 You're in industrial maintenance, too, right? Do you have any video topics you'd like to see me cover?
Adjustable metric wrench ,I thought they didn't make them anymore.
What about the resistance test between the two?
ProbeMasters have less resistance. No contest there. Not super important for most industrial settings, but certainly something to keep in mind if testing circuit boards.
I’m a retired electrician and sold off my fluke’s when I retired. I bought the CL390 after I realized my two other budget meters were unreliable and one of them died. Oops! Bad decision on my part. What I despise about the 390 is the beeping when changing modes, it drives me nuts.
Cl800 isn’t so obnoxious. I had earlier versions and they go off constantly
I bought this as a DIYer, seems to be the cheapest name brand one you can get for DC Amps (Car work). Hopefully it lasts me a very long time if not lifetime for the price, as a bonus it will be a good tool when I become a homeowner.
Nice choice! It offers a lot of features for the price! The DC amps feature IS very handy for auto/small engine work. Sounds like you made a good purchase 👍

What field you in
Industrial maintenance - specifically feed manufacturing
*I read on the Simple Green website that their product shouldn't be used on leather and suede shoes, but sneakers it's ok. I don't know why that is. It's just what I read on their site for their article about cleaning shoes 😅*
Huh! That's interesting! Maybe it dries out the leather or breaks down the fibers? My boots have held up fine so far, but yea, not something I'd use on my high end boots 😆
Nice bag and tools bud! Hey if I had those Milwaukee stillies I’d of done a lot more then gouge into them in 1.5 years 😂 they’d probably look like they sat outside for 20 years and beat up to f**k 😅
Lol! 😆 sounds like you get shit done though!! yea, I only pipe fit about once a month. I've already broken a milwaukee 10L from side loading it, though! 😁 oopsies!
love to see the vice you have in the top right of the frame, looks like one i have from my grandfather...
Are they worth purchasing? Thanks for the video
I'd say yes if you get into 1-1/2" - 2-1/2" pipe a bit. They're handy for general industrial maintenance and repair as well. I use the 16" version of these much more often. I'd get that one first. If you like it, think about rounding out your toolbox with the bigger set.
Flukes for the clamp and probe master for your DMM.
Great video! I am considering picking this up, maybe the smaller one. I do residential service, single and multi family. New sub 👍
Thanks! If I had to do it again, I might go with one size down as well. The bag is very bulky, and I tend to throw too much crap in it, making it way too heavy to carry more than a few hundred feet.
Hi, I liked your video. Thanks for sharing. What's the max of volts that this cl390 can read? I heard you saying 480v is that ,correct?
I believe it's 600v rated.
@@_Broomstick thanks again, God bless you!
I have Fluke TL-27 heavy duty test lead cables. They are heavy duty but less flexible, very similar to what the T6 has. With the ability to change the ends for probes, gator clamps, and other accessories. Much more industrial.
I have that same set for my 87V. Super nice setup.
What is your mouse? It looks similar to my MX Master 3 but somewhat different.
MX Master 2S. I have 2 of them. They're only 60 bucks or so at Walmart.
First video of yours I've seen. When you said "Their interface f@#$ing sucks." Instant subscribe. 🤣
Lol, just being honest!
FANTASTIC! love seeing this kind of troubleshooting!
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching!
I enjoy your videos.
Very informative, thank you sire.
Thank you for watching, my league! *humble bow*
just discovered your channel bud. definitely subscribed. Awesome shop.
Much appreciated!
Glad to watch an informative tool video from a non-automotive mechanic. Great video bud.
Thanks for watching!
Wow cool shop and great organization!
Thanks for checking it out!
Good info on the pliers, thank you!
Thanks!
I really enjoy your videos. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
I feel this is a very useful video. Have seen and had many pairs of pliers. I also saw many I'd like to have from other mechanics tool boxes. Mac has a great small set of electrical pliers.
lol, I gotta install one next week on our old Lift
Nice bag , just the right size !
Sure is! It's fairly compact for the ammount of storage as well. Nice size for hoisting up ladders, riding in tight elevators, working off small platforms, etc.
In that odd pocket, I have a Pica marker and Pica pencil side by side, which frees up the smaller pockets typically used for that.
Thanks for the video… Good Stuff 👍
Thanks! Fun to watch your channel blow up! Your production value is awesome as well!
@@_Broomstick appreciate that… I just found yours today scrolling through loadouts… Now you’ve given me some more videos to watch 👍
Hey man, very helpful video and. Weakest link in our maintenance department is the electrical knowledge base. Sucks to be at the mercy of outside contractors.
I’ve got both and recently did my rear drum brakes, found the ln46acf better than the 47’s. Both are great though
What was your polishing bits sequence for the needle nose pliers? I’ve done similar to my Knipex pliers - oops!
Lol, that's what I said as well... right after a bright flash! I used a 80g flap disk to re-shape the nose. Then I jumped to a coarse scotchbright, then medium, then a blue fine. Used a little die grinder. Probably took 8 minutes. Hope this helps
Nice organization, gonna have to do the same over my shops
Very cool i am going to have to move and i want to build a shop with a room like yours and not store anything in the main area.
Clutter is a mind killer!
Just had to use that duct seal putty a couple days ago… good idea with the case
Thanks! Appreciate you checking out the video!
Which Veto tool pouch is that? It looks like a nice size with the flip up top. You got some nice tools.
It's the TP-LC made by Veto Pro Pac. Pretty handy. I'm thinking about upgrading to the TP-XXL because it has the meter pouches on the outside. Spendy packs, but worth the money imo.
Very cool results for what must have been hours and hours of work setting up. Great tour!
A few hours a month for about 2 years! Thank you for checking it out!
Hot damn love a good shop tour.👍💪🇺🇸
Right there with ya! I appreciate you checking mine out!
What kind of plant is this? Wood processing is my guess
Animal feed production, actually. We have some similar equipment, though. Things like pellet mills, conveyors, scales, etc.
Hard to beat Fluke.
Agreed. Hard to put a price on confidence and reliability! Too bad confidence and reliability is so expensive! 😆
this was awesome. man! ill sub just to see if you pursue the more in-depth, multiple examples! I hope so!
Thanks man!! I'll record and post a part 2 next week. I'll go over some additional troubleshooting procedures that I didn't cover in this video. Thanks for the sub! 👍
