I go to a weekly food pantry once a week, and a Senior Day once a month. It definitely helps when your on a fixed income and raising teenage grandsons. I also show food pantry videos.

In buckets or totes. Mice will chew right threw zip lock bags and boxes.

Don't expend any money in plastic containers ir glass de soda plasticbottles coke,Pepsi etcétera un i'm using and istore over 2 kpds of dry food beans,rice,lentels etc and not a single one spoil use boll ot cotton w alcohol ,dropped on bottle after full w wherever Will stiil burning closet the cap very thigt ,thats all

Just offering a few suggestions. Since you are referring to this as a prepper pantry that's what got my attention. I've watched a few of your videos now so I think I understand your family situation. I humbly offer... 1. Someone else suggested moving the food items inside if possible - I agree. 2. Plastic bins or buckets to protect the food from rodents. Please try to find free buckets, they are out there. 3. Rice. I haven't seen any rice in your videos maybe I missed it or you forgot to mention it but rice is a great way to expand your meals. It goes with almost everything. Also flour. I understand you are a busy mom but bread making is an important skill to have. Some homemade bread with that Chicken a la King would be delicious. 4. As you shop, I suggest picking up 3, 4 or 5 cans of something your family will eat and put those back each time. Better yet if it's from the sale rack or clearance. I started "prepping" more than 30 years ago while I was in the military so my wife and children would have a supply of foods if couldn't be home for a while. You are doing good and I see awesome motivation with what you are saying and doing here so please hang in there and don't give up. 👍

I remember when my ex left and I'd take my baby girl to the park and she'd always give them open mouth slobber kisses to me and day after day we bonded more and more it's been over 12 years now and our bond is out of this world . Never miss out on any part if possible. GOD bless y'all love it

This is one of those "do as I say, not as I do" suggestions 😊 Make a meal plan for 2 weeks. Stock up on things needed to prepare those meals, including seasonings and utensils ( things break/get lost). And have several can openers. Then, another 2 weeks. Don't forget water. That should be your main priority starting out. Buy a case every time you go shopping. Don't forget about cleaning items. Since Clorox pulled most of its inventory, expect them to come back at a higher price. Not sure if you have it stored elsewhere, but stock up on personal care products ... oral care, soap (bar and liquid), shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene, etc. And household items, such as extra blankets, sheets, pillows, as well as clothing (including socks, shoes and underwear). Buy in larger sizes to account for growth spurts. As prices increase, quantities wll decrease or clothes will just be too expensive.

Great blessing for your family in that food gift! Maybe steam the broccoli lightly then freeze for future? And dissect the salads and freeze the ham bits? Just some ideas that may help!🙂
